Hmmn, that would be more words from Kimi in one sitting than in the whole of last year. I wonder if Ferrari 'edit' everything the drivers say, or if Kimi has suddenly become a PR expert?

Can you imagine Kimi saying this sentence "I've been in this game for quite a while now".

Picture it.

Just picture it.

And you have your answer. :hehe:

I tried to picture it but could only come up with Kimi saying 'I dont give a sh!t about the results after 1 race only' :hehe:

edit; this is not negative about Ferrari or Kimi, its positive in that it means Kimi would not be worried in the slightest and may express that in an alternative manner

A Ferrari themed 5-star hotel owned by Ferrari? Sounds like a nightmare.

:cloud9: To each his own! :cloud9:

Everything would be red, I'd feel like I was in an Amsterdam 'fun house'

I'm sure they'd have red rooms available; but, everything red?
I doubt it will be similar to any red light district! :nono:

Re: Media Release posted by spanky!

It would seem this new Ferrari venture has been in the pre-planning stage for a long time.

Considering:
* the Ferrari theme park will be inside PortAventura resort which already hosts about 4 000 000 guests
a year (50% from outside of Spain);
* Investindustrial has an "ongoing investment plan" and sought out Ferrari because they realized that
the "synergy between the two groups creates a powerful combination";
* Investindustrial has an objective to offer "high-profile international brands" to increase their visitors
to 5 000 000/year and felt that "Ferrari was an obvious choice";
* Ferrari received "many, many requests to build theme parks" after the success of Ferrari World in
Abu Dhabi, which they sifted through and decided on PortAventura.

It would seem this wasn't a deal struck over a drink and a contract written on a napkin! :clap:

It's Ferrari....EVERYTHING will be red. It wouldn't surprise me if they put red die in the water too; which also servers another purpose as it would be easier to see where the leaks are in the shoddy craftsmanship :wink:

Spanish builders have a reputation

Yes, it's Ferrari, which means it's classy and it's sophisticated.
Red may be the iconic colour most people associated with Ferrari;
but, so are black and even the colour yellow.

I'm betting the colour scheme will be more than "just" Ferrari red! :wink:

Having read that, it does seem as though Investindustrial is stumping up the cash and assuming the risks with Ferrari providing the theme. Now thats a much better setup for Ferrari

Btw Sagi, and a little off topic, about your new signature, can it be a quote by the same Charles Saatchi who attacked his wife in a London restaurant recently?

Image

If it was then I am not sure that quote would be popular with a lot of Womens groups

It must be a paparazzo's ultimate dream to have the good fortune to be present with camera in hand when a celebrity gets involved in an incident of shocking public behavior. That's one explanation for why no one intervened when famed chef Nigella Lawson's husband Charles Saatchi got physical during an altercation between the couple a week ago, but it sure would have been nice if whoever kept snapping photos had taken a moment to approach Saatchi and, oh, I don't know, maybe politely asked him to stop violently choking his wife?

At any rate, the ugly fight has been splashed all over the media now, thanks to the images that document how Saatchi squeezed Lawson's neck and viciously pinched her nose while they were at a restaurant together. You won't believe the explanation Saatchi gave for what happened -- and I'm hoping Lawson isn't buying his outrageous excuse either.

If you've seen the photos, the fight looks downright nasty. Lawson is clearly distraught as Saatchi wraps his hand around her neck and, at one point, painfully tweaks her nose. Afterwards, she was photographed in tears, covering her mouth in a moment of pure misery.

Today Saatchi offered an explanation for the images, brushing it off as a perfectly normal private moment taken out of context:

About a week ago, we were sitting outside a restaurant having an intense debate about the children, and I held Nigella's neck repeatedly while attempting to emphasize my point. There was no grip, it was a playful tiff. The pictures are horrific but give a far more drastic and violent impression of what took place. Nigella's tears were because we both hate arguing, not because she had been hurt. We had made up by the time we were home.

Jesus. In what universe is it okay to hold someone's neck even once, much less repeatedly, while emphasizing your point? I'm pretty sure that's the standard definition of domestic abuse, and if he thinks it's okay to act like that in public, god only knows what's happening behind closed doors.

The author of the quote doesn't change the significance of it.
Most women's groups would prefer to use a quote by a woman.

Btw, what moronic inclination is it to keep taking pictures instead of going to the rescue?

Surely the significance of the quote has been changed by the subsequent behaviour of the author? :confused:

As far as the moron who kept taking pictures, in London, with a 100 people sitting around, normally not one would have even seen anything. So maybe taking pictures is progress

erm so do Egyptian builders, but that didnt stop them building the pyramids. How do you know the craftsmanship will be shoddy just based on reputation? Does having a generalised reputation gaurantee an outcome?

Buildings built 3000 years ago are not an accurate representation on the modern construction industry in that particular country.

I have however been to spain and I have seen many many poorly built new buildings.

That could be a reflection of the amount of money spent by the developer. If the guys building this theme park spend the money then the quality will be as good as any building elsewhere. You have good and bad builders everywhere and good and bad developers

It's meaningless to say any reputation for shoddy building equates to a national inability to build quality. Don't mean to get on your case it just irritates me when people propagate cliches and things created by a particular media with a particular agenda. In this case a British centric view of unfinished leaking villas in magalouf

Barcelona has some seriously impressive architecture with high quality construction

Yes, it's Ferrari, which means it's classy and it's sophisticated.

At the GP's there are often groups of Ferrari fans, the ones where they're all head to toe in Ferrari gear, everything red, shoes, socks, shorts, shirt, hat, jacket/bodywarmer, glasses, manbag, phone etc. Definitely not classy or sophisticated. I imagine Ferrariland would be like being stuck inside one of these fans wardrobes.

Technically the official color of Ferrari is yellow.

The red is there because that was the color defined for Italian cars (not just Ferrari) in Grand Prix racing. This predates F1 when teams carried the color of their nation - green for British teams, grey for German teams and blue for French teams.

I do wish there was more Ferrari Yellow around, it is a nicer colour that the red that makes everything look like it's made of some cheap plastic.

Also I've always liked how the Germans wen't for grey of all colours, it was a real "I don't know... Sod it, grey, that'll do" moment in the meeting :hehe:

That's one way of looking at it! Personally, I think it highlights the significance!!
His emotions got the better of him and he acted upon them.
The photographer, on the other hand reasoned he'd not have another opportunity to
catch the drama on film and concluded it would be better(Image) to keep taking pictures!
