Then paddy came along and saw it and said..........in an Irish accent...........

"What the FRIC you got on Lewis' car there man? Get the fickin thing off and sort his brakes out!"

I don't think it's a good idea to remove the FRIC (front-rear interconnected) system as it helps improve ride stability. Only Lotus and Merc has it, and with longer lasting Pirelli's there might be more room to adjust the system to make Lewis more comfortable with the car.

Interesting opinion from the Judge, could be the brake by wire makes the FRIC acceptable to Lewis

Although Mercedes did look fast today, it wasn’t all wine and roses as a hydraulic issue once again interrupted a race simulation for Hamilton, and limited him to just 67 laps today. This ray of sunshine for their rivals was quickly extinguished as Lewis also mentioned in an interview that he felt the car suited his driving style and that he didn’t feel there was as much grip as last year.

Upon hearing this Nico Rosberg quietly wept into his cup of tea, his biggest advantage over Hamilton from last year has apparently evaporated with the advent of brake by wire (BBW).

Hahaha I think that's a bit harsh on Nico....if they're both in clear air for at least the first half of this season I look forward to Nico giving Lewis a run for his money. No doubt I expect Lewis to be ahead but it will not be a foregone conclusion that he'd win the war.

And a war I'd love to see. There are not many teams that would allow that war to take place.

Is the post Brawn Mercedes going to allow it?

For sure Ross would only allow it for as long as it didn't have a deleterious effect on the teams chances to secure titles. Which of course is something I completely agree with

Maybe the WCC will be cemented early on and would support a head to head battle. I'm not sure if I would love to see that, but at least would be a change of pace from the previous few years.
