Unfortunately John Lennons message did not get through to another whinger for whom tolerance and the law for all was not enough for his selfish needs

And, that is the "problem" in a nutshell!!
Tolerance is not what Lennon preached!
You can't love someone you tolerate.
Love is about acceptance.
As is respect!

Tolerance or love dont make it right to shoot a guy because you dont like the look of his girlfriend

Nothing does.

Then again, crimes of passion seem to be tolerated by the courts/legal system.

I'm a hippie with stupid hair?

Either that or i'm Lennin. Which is significantly worse; because then I'm a communist with stupid hair.

Lenin and Lennon would have agreed on a lot of things it's how they would go about it that differed.

I dont go fishing. Unlike many I do not think fishing is a sport. If the fish had catapults and could take pot shots at those with rods then it would be a sport. But I respect your opinion about my provocativisationalised debating optimisations (Gotta stop thinking about Ron)

:beer::grouphug:

You've given me a perfect opportunity to explain how I feel people should respond to things they disagree with :P

I disagree with you! ;) I DO feel fishing is a sport but only in the circumstance of multiple fishermen/women competing to get the most fish, biggest fish, most weight, most species... etc.
Throwback question: Why do they need weapons for it to become a sport? (They don't?)

DD, you're such a softie :P haha

By sport I mean a traditional competition amongst peers. Blood sports including fishing is more entertainment. So a group of people gathered to compete at a blood sport would be entertainment.
By mentioning weapons I meant man vs fish could work if Fish also had a opportunity to maim the man
Hunting for food is one thing, hunting for fun is not a sport even if several are competing amongst themselves to hunt

It would like saying karaoke is a sport because a few drunkards compete to have fun

Clay pidgeon shooting (skeet) - which I rather enjoy is closer to a sport because the activity is about accuracy and scoring instead of the thrill (entertainment) of taking life - so called blood sport

But I see your position clearly as I know many who take it when we discuss fishing

And don't get me started on those who take spearguns scuba diving

Fishing is as much a sport as sticking your sausage in a glory hole and hoping its a hot chick on the other side.

As long as you don't find out does it matter?
