Yep. Ron can do whatever he wants! And why would he leave Merc, having built it up, to start again with a team less likely to succeed. Well he wouldn't..and he didn't. I often wonder about the relationship between Ross and Jenson....professional I would imagine, on Ross' part, don't know about Jenson. But I can't see that Ross would have been desperate to reignite it

Wonder if Ross would consider being part of F1 hierarchy....if he was at the helm.....no shenanigans....
But would he want all that?......

It was BRILL while it lasted ! Could have been the dream team of ALL dream teams. Sadly wasn't to be.
I think Ross would be great at the helm of f1, the voice of reason in a madhouse. But if he's taking a year out, I wonder if the deal will be done by then??

For me FOM (the commercial arm) has too much say in the sport. I'd rather see a business oriented successful CEO type take that role. No F1 background needed. The FiA should be defining the sport, and it needs to change its direction IMO. Away from bean counting and street car sales back to being the pinnacle of motor sport with a focus on enabling engineering creativity. Not the constricted engineering we have now that is more about reading mountains of fine print to find miniscule loopholes. Ross would be ideal for that IMO
