Well maybe if Ron is pulling the strings. Just feel they've missed a trick. I kinda want to wash my hands of them.

So Sammy has almost achieved his lifelong dream of being a TP and crushing a team to ashes....let's see how quickly he accomplishes his lifelong destiny.

Wow. Wow wow wow...and talks about ROSS F'N BRAWN were circulating around, but we get Sammy. Sammy, the guy FIRED by Williams to head THE McLaren.

Incredible.

Here's a thought, could it be simply a Ron puppet? He appears at arms lenght but is working through proxy?

I see that working if RD is at at least at 80% of the races during the whole race weekend. Otherwise, no.

Everyone at the scene needs a boss to look up to, not a Sammy. Sammy was let go by Williams for f**ks sake. Let go... read "obsolete/liability/waste/adios muchachos".

Maybe Ron could wire him up by satellite link so that SM is only there pyhsically and Ron is back at the MTC, stroking his cat, and speaking, seeing etc through Sams mouth, ears , eyes etc.
I am sure McLaren have the technology, if Sam suddenly has a blank stare and talks Ron speak that could be the clue

Car launch in 2 hours. RonSam prototype launch in 2.5 hours :rofl:

Button comments on the task ahead - translations added for clarity

“We want to get back to the front, ” said Button. “We want to have a better season than we did in 2013, too. But it’s really difficult to accurately predict anything right now – these are such huge changes that they’ll have a massive impact on the competitive order, so we need to wait and just see how things shake out.

I wont be jumping in with the PR statements I made last year because Ron is listening

“It’s part of the job of a Formula 1 driver (to deal with massive regulation changes). I’ve spent my whole career jumping from different specification cars – I’ve driven V10s, V8s, I’ve raced on grooved tyres, on slicks, with KERS, with DRS, with traction control, without it, with refueling, without it. I’m still here!

I have managed to get away with underperforming through all those changes by complaining about no grip
"But, above all else, what I'll be looking for is that simple, positive feeling you get from knowing that the car beneath you is a solid platform; one you can work with, and one you can develop throughout the season.

Hopefully I can blame the car again when I cant get the best out of it

“Obviously, there’s a period of adaption, but the way I drive – working upwards to find the grip level, rather than working downwards – has always made it quite a seamless transition. As a driver, it’s just an exciting time. I’m really looking forward to it.

Instead of drive at the limit of available grip like talented drivers, I drive at levels I am comfortable with
“As a driver, it’s just an exciting time. I’m really looking forward to it

Enthusiasm and a hungry attitude is what Ron wants to hear
............
But hold on Jenson, this is what you said previously when the other guy was still in charge
"I don't think it will be more exciting to drive. We are going to be fighting for grip the whole time, so I don't think that will make it more exciting."
