So Luca says the three recognised top drivers are his favourites. Some deep profound thinking going on there!
And then he adds Kimi as an afterthought. :hehe: good job Kimi's not touchy.

Maybe the afterthought was after the thought of the amount of money they paid Kimi to leave the team plus the amount they paid him to come back :hehe:

At least, di Montezemolo was "big" enough to recognize his mistake and was able to put it right!
Not everyone can admit to being wrong, let alone do it in such a public fashion!! :D

Paying a driver to not drive for the team is already something pretty......unique. In terms of a business, that is a laughable move to enhance your ROI and value for money but I guess Ferrari just has that much cash to waste.

The thing about Ferrari is that they seem unable to learn and evolve. Apart from the period of epiphany when they brought in a whole new management culture with Todt/Brawn/MS etc, they continue in the same fashion. Knee jerk reactions to everything, throw money at everything, hire and fire on a whim. Andremain mired in nostalgia and 'the old days'
You have a guy who has won a WDC for you, so you fire him and keep the guy who is weaker but is a 'team player(yes man)' then you import the most controversial driver around, then youtry and sack him and bring the other guy back. In the meantime you poach engineers from other teams, then demote them and poach new ones every few years

Maybe they will poach Aldo Costa from Merc next :hehe:

Cookin', my wish for you is love to overcome the bitterness in your soul!! :D

I am merely an objective observer. I always say it exactly as I see it, no matter about what, who or why. (this ofcourse can commonly be seen as being a royal pain in the bottom :hehe: )

Sagi58, you mentined earlier going with Hulk because 'he was on Ferraris radar and Perez was not'

Is this how the tifosi do objectivity?

I NEVER claimed to be objective, did I? :P
The Tifosi are loyal, to a fault, that I will admit!!

I didnt even imagine for a second you were objective when it comes to F1

I was just testing your understanding of the meaning of objectivity :hehe:

No point in hiding in a glass tower. Even if I knew as much as you obviously do about F1,
I still wouldn't throw stones!!

p.s. objectivity leaves when you have a preference!!

ummm anyway, Nico Hülkenberg without question.

Yes, I've also gone for Hulkenberg. He's one of the best drivers on the grid IMO

No, it's just that it happens so often that he's gotten very good at self correcting.

It does appear that way to us observers, however the bosses of the top teams seem to have some other metric for measuring Nico. Ferrari, RBR, even Mclaren have let him 'slip' With Whitmarsh categorically declaring that he found no difference between Perez, Hulk and Di Resta

What is it about Nico? Maybe Perez can find out
