One can only hope that page doesn't become "404 - Page Not Found" come 2015.

I think that pretty much confirms there is no title sponsor for 2014, as they are not gonna change the page from 'Mclaren' to 'Sponsor McLaren' on 24th

They were expecting TelMex dollars that didn't materialize and hence the jettisoning of Perez. It's the only explanation that makes sense if that's the case.

We all suspected that, but were told Sergio went because he hadnt done well enough, and that the reason for the non announcement in Dec was because they wanted to reveal both sponsor and car together in a more spectacular way.

So I guess we will be told on 24th that the title sponsor will be unveiled at the same time as Honda for 2015

And its confirmed that Force India will be carrying Telmex sponsorship for 2014. I think Force India ended up outplaying McLaren who forgot that they were no longer a junior technology partner

I don't think it does; I think it means that they don't want to accidentally announce their new title sponsor via a automatic Facebook email.

Because they are no longer called Vodafone Mclaren Mercedes. We shouldn't read into the fact they haven't put a new title on it or are changing the name early because they aren't even adding the Mercedes in the title, which they probably need contractually anyway, so we can expect the name to change to whatever they have as a title.

They only needed the Engine in the name for their Merc deal, they are now Mercedes customers so they dont need the name, they could just be McLaren next year
