The only reason you want that is because Ferrari is the only team that could afford it, or justify to their board that they need all this testing.

That's an assumption!! I have tried to understand both sides of the argument; but, the proof is in the pudding!
Barring a few "exceptional" drivers, many of the rookies on the grid have made "errors" on track that a little
experience would have given them more insight.

Let's be clear, I am not advocating full-blown, unlimited testing!! I agree with the "after a race" at some tracks
compromise that's been proposed.

Having said that, LONG BEFORE the season starts, Pirelli MUST provide a FULL set of their CURRENT tires to the
teams, so they can make any adjustments necessary BEFORE lining up on the starting grid!!

If all the teams that are struggling financially walked away, the sport would collapse immediately. I don't believe anybody wants to see only three or four teams running around, even if they run three or four cars each.

I'm not suggesting they all walk away! I'm suggesting that ALL the teams (struggling or not) should be allotted more of the profits being generated!!
It's not acceptable that you have them working in "third world country" conditions, whilst Ecclestone et al, enjoy "industrialized country" profits!!

Yeah it's ridiculous the teams don't get a larger slice of pie, it's also absurd Ferrari get $17m at the end of the season, just cos'.

But until they get a larger slice, the teams who struggle to afford 19 races as it stands, are going to struggle with extra testing (even if they are at the end of a race weekend)

Then that should be their first priority!!

As for Ferrari, are they the only team to get money "just cos"?
Or are they the only team we know about getting it?

Thanks for thinking of me; but, all I read was the title!
That was more than enough for me! And, NOT because
I can't handle a joke; but, because it's been done and
re-done to the point that it's not even worth the time
and effort it takes to read it... again!!

But if every team had an extra 20 million they would all spend an extra 20 million so nothing would change. Just the teams would spend an extra combined 220 million

The question is, what would they spend it on? Salaries? Engine development? Travelling?
So... maybe the rule would be that they need to spend that "extra" on testing??

Paying Raikonnen. Front wing R&D usual area of constant development is the front wing, caus it moves the air. Anything else further back of the car is effected by the wing. Chane a sidepod design, change the front wing slightly.

why is it you want more testing so badly?

I say give the teams a hard budget cap, and let each do what they want with it. If ones want to go out testing every day for a month, so be it. That just means it'll come out of the budget for something else. If another just wants to stick to a couple weekends, that's cool too.
