On this track the Ferraris' cars are looking like the McLaren. Makes me doubt next years car.

In case you haven't heard, the regulations have changed for next year! No one, not even the teams themselves, really know what will happen! 8-)

I get the feeling you don't like me. But anyway, of course they will have some Idea. The Aerodynamics are still the same, if they are gonna evolve their car, they need a competitive car at the end of the season.

That's NOT at all true, NHcheese!! I not only like you, I'm enjoying reading your opinions!!
I am learning from you, so please, don't take my questions personally!! :wavey:

To be honest, I was under the impression that none of the teams really "know" how their cars
are going to behave with the new engine regulations... right?

Actually I think the aero is changing significantly. for example, the exhaust is going to be moved even farther away from the diffuser to prevent any trace of blowing. The noses are going to be much lower, although I'm not sure how big of an effect that will have. I think there's other stuff too, but I can't recall.

Don't forget about having to package the turbos I believe everyone will be using twin turbos so that plumbing needs to be packaged and cooled accordingly....and don't forget the intercoolers

I'm looking forward to the low noses.....would help remind me of good old times.

I dunno, I loved the higher noses on cars like the 2000 Ferrari, the 2001/2002 Williams, the 2002 Arrows, and even the 2009 Force India.

I think Ferrari have missed a trick to beat Red Bull. This is what they should do.

Forget about paying huge sums for Kimi! or any driver. Just get two reasonably competent ones for a reasonable price. Then take the saved money, and maybe a bit more, let's say a cool 30 mil and go visit Americas cup boat makers. Tell them that they can have the 30 mil on the condition they use it to employ Newey. Only the top Ferrari guy and the top boat maker guy would ever know about this. If it leaked out the deal would be off.

Result, Newey gets to build a boat and gets a huge pay check as well, he couldn't resist that.

The boat makers get a top designer for nothing.

Ferrari get rid of its biggest threat for the price of a driver.

Luca, just send the consultancy fee to Racechick......you can find me on wordpress.......if you get past the tomatoes.

So simple, eh? BUT, then Ferrari would be crucified for being manipulative; but, everyone benefits!
Tell you what, what if Mercedes and Lotus "conspire" with Ferrari? That way, Ferrari isn't the bad guy...
again...

Too many people involved. Cat would be out of bag. But I don't really think that's a bad guy thing. It's a clever thing.

And anyway lotus couldn't afford it.

That's not how it would be portrayed in the press, because... you know, it's Ferrari!
Mind you, McLaren would have even more to benefit from this, send them a line!!
