I liked it when I heard the pit message go out to Lewis. "You have to get past Webber, Nico has been given the same message" in other words, do what you ned to , race each other if you have to. Great to hear!

With all due respect, how did you get "race each other if you have to" from "you have to get past Webber"?
Is it just because they told Rosberg the same thing?

With all due respect, did you watch the race? Hamilton stuck his nose beside Rosberg at least thrice and Rosberg was on the defensive many times, which is part of the reason they took so long to overtake Perez.

You needn't use sarcasm because you think I did. When I'm being sarcastic, I will make sure it's noted!
Secondly, having watched the race, it didn't seem that Hamilton was having a walk in the park in trying
to pass Rosberg.
While we're on the subject of passing a teammate, so many have had a go at Alonso for not getting past
Massa and getting frustrated into the bargain; yet, it's interesting to note that we did not hear the same
""well, if he's so good, why didn't he pass his teammate"" comments!!

1) Singapore is not a circuit conducive to passing.
2) Romberg had the better setup all weekend.
3) I was a two point difference that meant nothing to the WCC standings as far as Mercedes goes.

Meh, it's manageable. Kubica '10 was stand-out. :D

It's a free world right? Sarcasm will be inputted when I think it fits.

The point I was trying to make is that the Mercs were racing each other, it wasn't Hamilton just sitting behind. It doesn't matter how hard it was passing Rosberg.

Hamilton never got frustrated about not passing Rosberg, and I see no Hamilton fans saying anything else should've happened. Hamilton paid the price for qualifying behind Rosberg and Rosberg defended well...end of story. Neither Merc driver needs his teammate to do any favors, its a real racing team with 2 very strong drivers.

Granted, YOU can use sarcasm whenever you're in the mood; but, that doesn't mean YOU can assume that everyone else does the same thing!
Secondly, the question I initially asked the question out of curiousity; I was NOT accusing anyone of anything!
Also, NONE of us have any way of knowing how Hamilton did or did not feel behind Rosberg.
As for two strong teammates; I don't always get the impression that's how most people feel. In fact, I'd go so far as to say "most" people believe
that Hamilton is much stronger than Rosberg and that there is "some" frustration when Hamilton doesn't get past him!

Sure Lewis fans will get frustrated when he doesn't get past Rosberg. But this fan certainly does NOT want Rosberg moved aside. If Lewis wants to get past he has to overtake or qualify in front. As hammer says its a great pairing of two strong drivers pushing each other to give better performances. Yes. I personally think that all things considered Lewis has a slight edge! but then I'm a little biased. But slight edge or not, he doesn't need or want favours.

Ok when I said Hamilton never got frustrated behind Rosberg, I mean he never complained or hinted anything like swerving to the pitlane and shaking his fist like an absolute brat, whining on the radio or what not...he just got on with the job of racing his teammate.

Personally, I have no doubts Hamilton's the stronger of the two drivers but Rosberg is the strongest teammate he's had since Alonso and, more importantly I think Hamilton fans are just relieved that he's now in a serious racing team which means business and actually knows how to approach an F1 season. From absolutely zero in the previous season, they're now the closest challengers to Redbull....even though their primary focus has been on 2014 even before 2013 started.

I saw Brawn press a button in his pocket that blew the bolts that held on Rosberg nose.

Rosberg was quicker than Lewis with the nose off!

They kept raising the front wings to decrease down force. So with it dragging on the floor and tilted forward he must of had a lot of front down force

This does not mean Ross will no longer be involved with the team. Its now obvious that Ross calls the shots as far as his plans, not Lauda or Wolffe or Merc. Ross appears to be holding the cards and playing the game extremely well. I have no doubt he will get what he wants, IMO some type of head honcho role that allows him to rise above trackside TP and travel less, whilst retaining control over everything. He called the bluff on Paddy Lowes arrival and is obviously not happy about something or someone.

Ross appears an honourable chap, and I am sure that getting exactly what he wants will not endanger Lewis' planned domination for the next few years

I hope he sticks around then later uses Honda to do a Bimbo on Mclaren (buy in management buy out) and brings Lewis back. I reckon Ross could probably do a hostile takeover of the team now if he approached the Bharainis with a few mill in his pocket and Honda begging him to take over.

Brawn has now come out and said he will stay but wants control. He doesn't want to be there if he's isn't doing a useful role. So he's fighting! GO ROSS!!!
I think Merc 'panic recruited' Paddy and now have a bit of a problem. No disrespect to paddy! but dumping Ross for him would be stupid in my eyes. They have to work them together with Ross in overall control. paddy's time will come.

Ps. Interesting idea re- McLaren Cookie.
