If you keep the wrong people on board, anything is possible. Whitmarsh has not turned out to be a cutting edge boss, Sam "Fired by Williams" Michael is sitting there ready to take over (Lord help McLaren when he does), Butt- "I'm experienced" -on is continuing to mislead the team in development direction, Perez is the only light in the team but it might not take long before he sees himself in a sinking ship and leaves for greener pastures.

They won't stay this low. Over 2 years of consistent points finishes came to an end today though

Apparently McLaren set Button lap time targets after his only stop, and could have pushed alot harder

Theres a clear patter at Mclaren and there has been for years.

Just listen to what Buttons saying - things like 'I have never been so happy to get out of a car at end of a race' The average team member collecting his wage is not going to get galvanised by that talk

Whereas an Alonso or Lewis would just be saying ' I want a faster car, I want to race and win'

pay peanuts get monkeys - theres a reason Button was never in demand by TPs even after his lucky DD win. Whitmarsh has made many mistakes and Button is the biggest one. Even now Whitmarsh is still saying 'the drivers are doing well etc'

Sergio is doing well NOT BUTTON, sergio is meant to be the raw rookie getting developed by McLaren. He is beating button comfortably, yet Whitmarsh still thinks Button is able to match the top drivers?

I supported Mclaren for their clinical almost anal retentive slickness and obsession with winning in style. This team is not fit to clean the floors of the old team when Ron was around

Taking Button (instead of Kimi) was the start of the slide to mediocrity

The only thing Button did all race was to get blue flagged for holding up Lewis. Typical spiteful stuff, lucky he didnt get a drive thru like scarface

Name calling of drivers is against forum rules. You guys are on thin ice with as you seem to have returned to your trolling ways. Fishing trips will be handed out if it continues

Well I love little Perez. He gives his all, and despite people having a go ( like they did with Lewis in the early days) he still comes bak and gives it a go. McLaren should be glad they've go him...because they're in trouble and he's a little fighter.

I was surprised they didnt give him the 1 stop strategy today. That was the type of thing he did really well at Sauber. I am sure lots of viewers were looking out for some Sergio action, which can onlty be a good thing for the team at present

If you watched the race....there was only 1 driver who got a drive through today and that was who Cookin was mentioning.

I did watch the race but was thinking of someone with a scar on their face thus making the Scaface jibe slightly witty. Clearly, I put far too much thought into that one(!)
