Its amazing the tyre jumped so high in the air and yeah lucky that it deflected by hitting the car 'cause i think the tyre will still be going right now!

Ouch! Never seen that before and looks terrifying, you can certainly understand why modern day F1 cars have higher protection around the cockpit.

It doesn't look like a bad crash but when the super slow-mo is shown you can see his head go underneath the steering wheel and bounce around, really frighting. He was in a coma for a few days as well. Even today he is not right after the impact, the way he looks and speaks.

Didn't Mika Hakkinen have a tracheoctomy at the roadside? IIRC he was saved by 'Prof' Sid Watkins - perhaps the man we should most thank for the current safety of our sport.
