Germany's best-selling tabloid newspaper Bild-Zeitung claims that Schumacher's role as a Ferrari 'assistant' next year comes with a $6m pay-cheque.

In contrast, rookie and GP2 champion Hamilton's salary at Mercedes-powered McLaren is reportedly a paltry $500,000, and a clause in his contract allows him to be replaced after every Grand Prix if he is not up to speed.

Quite some pressssssure for young Lewis if this is true...
PdlR is already waiting.

It's not all that bad, i'd pay to be in F1, let alone be paid to do it! But alongside Kimi's new $51m deal, it's certainly 'paltry'! :)

Well, reports have it that KR 'only' makes $25m, FA makes $20m. Weber said nobody will earn as much as MS 'ever again'. Kinda doubt that with inflation and all.

Next year Kimi will be the second highest paid sportsperson with Tiger Woods coming ahead of him with $82m

MS is still earning more than anybody else, even in retirement! He's working hard on becoming a billionaire. Is he still a 'sportsperson'? Dunno...
