You say that as if 40mins is a long commute........? I have a 50-60min commute (30miles) a day, and thought that pretty average...?

The best commute I ever had was 5 years ago, and it was a 15min walk. I also got a company car, so was sometimes a 2min drive...

my commute is an hour and a half long drive up a 40 mile 1 Lane Road where you can't overtake (the A420 for all you Oxford people)

I just upgraded from Huyundai '97 Excel that was falling apart - no air con, radio, dodgy accelerator, dodgy brakes, dodgy ignition barrel, missing brake light, windows wouldn't wind down.... Almost out of rego and would cost me $1500 bucks to get it back on the road. Sold it for a whopping $350.00 (considering I got it for free isn't such a bad deal)... AND THEN:

I bought a '98 Mitsubishi Magna with 150,000 kms and a little bit of rego for, $1500!!! An absolute steal - and very very happy! In immaculate condition, with all the items missing on my Huyundai.

Now I might finally get on my P's - (I would've failed the test rocking up in that Huyundai alone). Really chuffed because this is my FIRST decent car!
