Today I realised that customers call at 4.59pm because they think you'll agree to their ridiculous/unreasonable demands just to make it a quick call. Not so, I've never been one for rushing out from work as soon as the clock strikes and am quite happy to put them on hold while I look into their issues.

interesting observation. but knowing the empire that I work for, most corporate entities now staff call centers world wide, so you have to find when it's going to be 4:59 in Bangalore or something like that.

I hope the company isn't Quintiles. They've been the bane of my existance lately. I'm not finding it cute any more when I hear haich and zed because of all the UK calls I've on on of late.

I agree with you on someone pronouncing h as "Haich" rather than "aich".
