He was pretty fair and balenced on the BBC coverage. Folks biggest gripe was his thick Irish accent.

Really? I personally didn't have any problem understanding what he was saying.

I had a problem with it for the first 2-3 races but got used to it. Anyway, his voice was boring as hell and the guy was heavily biased so it was a relief when he F'ed off.

He was technical director at Jordan and is very knowledgeable, but as I said above, even the knowledgeable people make the odd mistake. I would suspect he was commenting on first impressions.

I blame the Aliens.

Ah tech director at Jordan when they had the lowest budget on the track and went 2 seasons in search of a point or something ridiculous. Funny how Loise goodman (Pr lady), Gary Anderson (mechanic) and Eddie Jordan (loudmouth) all end up at the BBc
A team of amateurs

Obviously Gary was and is still very knowledgeable

One of Gary's main downfalls is that his delivery just isn't good enough and sometimes he seems to waffle. Though Ted Kravitz doesn't have the same level of technical knowledge, his delivery is great. During a race, I'd rather get a few key bits of information from Ted and go back to watching the race than listening to Gary explain something in too many words. When I want in-depth explanations, Scarbs is the man. :hehe:

Me neither. It's easily understandable if you actually listen!

The 'Lewis has put it the wall ' bit, was somewhat premature and wide if the mark.
