I'm not sure that really tells us anything though, they probably want to avoid speculation about him overshadowing the launch. LAUNCH, that's the word isn't it?

Its an English language expression that is traditionally not taken literally, although I've heard that north of Hadrians wall, everything is taken literally and that explains why the folk are so tight, mean and stingy

I know it is an expression. I was showing the limitations of the English language.

We're not all stingy, tight and mean. It's more a case of what one has, one keeps. Besides, our leaders have been very generous in the past and that's why Scottish indepenence won't work, but that's anouther story for another thread.

I'm all for foreign students paying their own way rather than benefitting from our taxes. I think Bud set up a thread on this a while back when Alex "all I care about is fush in Peternapper and Trump's gulf course in the doons" Salmond started doing his Braveheart routine.
