I think Nico should go first
a) he knows how the old car felt so will be a better judge of the differences
b) he's been with the team longer.

I agree, i think Nico should have that privilege especially sticking with the team over the last three years. I like Nico a lot, i think he is a cool guy and won't get into the bating that is to come from the BBC f1 team and British f1 journalist.

Really hoping both drivers will be handing out a beating to one driver in particular.

Nico and Lewis are genuine friends so their will be no Judas back stabbing in the camp unlike his previous team mate. :D

Off Topic.. that blue sig is hard to read, hurts the eyes. :P

I think these two really have the potential to work together for the good of the team without the self-interested backstabbing of the last few years.
I would love to see that particular arse whupping, but I don't think we will next yer, it's a mighty big ask of Mercedes....but you never know :P

Regarding my sig, sorry for any eye damage :D . It's the closest colour to the Mercedes Petronas colour.i use acid tiger board and it looks ok, don't know what it's like if you use the other colour boards though.

With two capable and confident drivers in a team there's always potential for trouble too, RedBull has shown signs of that but managed to keep it mostly under control whereas Mclaren always seem to do a bad job of managing it. How Nico and Lewis get on in the team might come down to how they're managed but I can't imagine Brawn putting up with any petty squabling.

Nico and Lewis having been friends since childhood is the biggest help. You can have productive team mate rivalries, they don't all have to wind up having a detrimental effect on the team. Bad management if that's allowed to happen. In the end, a driver is just another employee albeit with a more visible job to do in the team.

WB, Stonemonkey agree with what you both say. Brawn won't stand that s*** going on. Lewis and Nico are long standing friends and they seem to respect each other. I've never seen anything from either of them to suggest they would resort to those disruptive selfish levels to get one over on the other one. That said, they will both be desperate to beat each other, which is a good positive thing when kept in perspective and on the track.

That's good :D they're mostly the same, but with the odd subtle difference, that's the bit I forget. I'll hotline to DD next time there's a crisis :P

I'm going to go out on a limb, and say that Mercedes will be very good this year. All this talk about 2014, while it may be true, seems to also be a bit of a diversion. I can't imagine any team honchos, who, with Norbert being ousted, would be content to sit back and say "Let's put all our effort into the 2014 car," simply because, they may not be around to see it succeed.

So I think Ross (Brawn, not Colin "Braun") and company would be well-advised to go all out this year, and I think that's what they're going to do. And I think they are going to be successful at it.

But you all know better what the resources/facilities/personnel gap is between Mercedes, and say, the other front-running teams, if indeed there is still such a gap.

Of course, we also have the "fastest man in F1" on our side, so that's got to count for something.

Rosberg is fast but I would not say the fastest in F1

No, McLaren obviously have the fastest driver in F1 the great Jenson 'Speedy' Button.
