Interesting innit?

Yeah, but it's old news so we needn't concern ourselves with it. :hehe:

Not really. What was Ron supposed to say? We're distraught that Lewis left? He's making the best of It. If they didn't want Lewis a) theyd be stupid, this is a business and b)they wouldn't have offered the money. Make no mistake, this decision was Lewis'.

I'd have thought that as long as Dennis is lurking around McLaren, Hamilton would be there. I find the right thing to do bit a bit odd for a him to say. Surely keeping the same drivers is the right thing to do rather than getting a relatively inexperienced midfield driver into a front of a grid team. I suppose it depends if he is speaking as part of the McLaren management or as Uncle Ron.

Well however much Ron wanted the same line up ultimately it wasn't on offer.

I think for whatever reason the reationship had reached its end. So the separation had to happen. I am sure the Mclaren and Lewis will be weaker for it next year

The McLaren part, we're sure about. The Lewis part ... ???

Even weaker as a championship contender, he may be more formidable as a competitor, and that may show up later..., if Mercedes get's its sh@t together.

But I'm not disagreeing with you.

Next year I am sure Lewis will score less points with Mercedes than he would of with Mclaren

How the heck are we ever going to find that out?

Why not something like Lewis will score less points than Button, and we make a wager on it?

That I do disagree with. McLaren is a total unknown, as far as what the future held for Lewis. He could have been sacked after the first race, after some more b.s....

I know if it was me, I would have ripped them a new one after that failed clutch b.s. last year (not because of that particular race, but because of the two years preceding it), so I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have lasted the season. But maybe that's just me.

Mercedes have all the pressure on themselves in 2013 because they now have one of the best drivers on the grid; the best drivers being HAM, ALO and VET in my view. But I don't see Mercedes making a big jump upto the level or Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari, I believe Mercedes will be putting all their eggs in the V6T basket. McLaren will be there or thereabouts as they are every season!
