:yikes: he did that  That reminds me of Senna and Berger, they were always playing practical tricks on each other.

I'm just teasing the Truth hammer, I'm not serious... I Still like Lewis and will be hoping Merc give him a good car as i'll be rooting for him after McLaren.

:hehe: I ain't mad anymore, I just knew I couldn't go into another season with that still on my chest. Ya'll should know by now that I can't stay mad at anyone, even McLaren. lol

It used to be the Patriots and the Celtics. It's fun having an "arch-villian" sports team to root against again, I just never thought it would be in F1. Ha. And like the Patriots and Celtics, I know McLaren are champions, and have great fans.

Anyway, congrats on 50, I hope ya'll win at least one just for that reason.

Well if you could make a whole lot of new mates from one meeting, why screw the chance just for a couple of twerps? If they get annoying at the site you always have the chance to sock them in the face. :)

Dennis explains Hamilton’s departure

McLaren group chairman Ron Dennis has said that it is wrong to suggest that Lewis Hamilton left the team.

Hamilton will race for Mercedes this season after signing a three year contract in September last year.

Team principal Martin Whitmarsh has insisted that McLaren attempted to retain Hamilton, but Dennis disagrees.

“‘I think it’s wrong to portray that Lewis left this team,” Dennis told CBI magazine.

“At the end of the day, you end up with a situation where you’re going to separate if the circumstances aren’t right. Life isn’t about one person deciding anything. It’s never that way. It’s about circumstances.”

McLaren is thought to have offered Hamilton a financial deal similar to the one he accepted from Mercedes, although Dennis insists he is not bitter about the departure of his protege.

“Everybody says, “Am I bitterly this or bitterly that?” What? I’m a realist. Did we have the ability to create a situation where we could have stayed together? Categorically, yes. Would that have been the right thing to do? We didn’t think so.”

Dennis added that he remains professional although understandably doesn’t wish his departing driver huge success.

“Whatever people choose to do at the end of a contractual period, the professional thing to do is to be supportive of the other side. We don’t wish him every success at Mercedes – that’s understandable, as he’s obviously going to be a competitor – but we don’t wish him anything negative.”

Sergio Perez replaces Hamilton at McLaren.

Interesting that he says Hamilton and McLaren could have stayed together but then goes onto say that they didn't think it was the right thing to do.

Discuss.
