I can't understand the Di Resta fuss. Except he's in with the Coulthard clique.

Granted, it's been a while since I've heard di Resta on the subject, but some things stick if someone doesn't really make headlines in other ways.
It started with "I would have also become champion in that Red Bull, I beat Vettel in Formula 3" and many similar comments followed to the point it seemed he wanted to build his image on "I beat the world champion".

No that's not what I meant. I meant I can't understand the fuss, as in the hype surrounding Di Resta. To me he appears mediocre and boring.

Oh, I can shake your hand on that :cloggynmarki:
That's why I thinnk he made such a fool of himself with those remarks. If Hamilton was saying that, I'd be interested in discussing it and seeing it again in Formula One.
But it's di Resta :hehe::hehe::hehe:

BTW Coulthard is still the best and by far the coolest F1 driver Scotland has produced! :D

The BEST?? .... apart from Jim Clark and Jackie Stewart...? :wink:

Never saw them drive....but I'm sure they're pretty cool as well, especially Stewart. My ears are glued to the screen whenever he speaks, I just can't help mimicking him!

Well Jim Clark was at the time, by most, considered the best driver ever. And Jackie Stewart not only has three world titles to his name, he also did an incredible job at making the sport safe.
So even if DC is a great driver and guy, he comes nowhere close to being the best Scottish driver ever. :wink: Coolest you could argue, since that has pretty much nothing to do with racing whatsoever :D

As someone who knows Scotland pretty well, I can assure you that Coulthard is not thebest Scottish F1 driver ever. That honour goes to Jim Clark who was not only awesome in F1, he was awesome in every series he entered. And he shunned the glamorous drivers lifestyle. :thumbup:

Jackie Stewart is a close 2nd. Coulthard would be 3rd at best.

Jim Clark best Scottish one for me. Superb talent and a gentleman.

Interesting that Kovalainen wasn't as dominant against Petrov in quali as he was against the qualifying master Jarno Trulli! Mind you, I suppose Petrov didn't have steering wheel issues for 3/4 of the season. :hehe:
