Lewis interview is good, Merc one didn't reveal much I didn't already know. Basically they want a strong team established ready for the rule changes in 2014. Reiterated equal status for the drivers. Said they couldn't pass up the opportunity to sign a driver like Lewis, those opportunities come along rarely.

Rosberg doesn't think Lewis has made a mistake going to Mercedes.

-"He is thinking about the long term. This is a strong team and will certainly succeed eventually"

When it was put to him that Lewis didn't think he'd be able to challenge for the championship and wins next year Rosberg said he was just being cautious.......

"I think he's leaving space open for something spectacular.............Anyway, I have learnt not to comment on quotes made by newspapers"

I've heard him say something similar when asked what about all the controversy Lewis will bring. He said something like. He doesn't, it's just the media.

Does anyone remember Nico Rosberg rocking up on the F1 grid for Williams at Bahrain in 2006 and setting the fastest lap in his debut event? Hard to think that it's over 6 years ago now!

Mercedes looking pretty handy this weekend . Rosbergs been fast , only three tenths off the Mclarens. Brawn has said he doesn't think there'll be much of a difference to the last GP on pace. Still they could both have scored points last GP if it wasn't for crash and puncture.

Probably the gap to McLaren....three tenths, plus another second. So 1.3 but I'm guessing cos I've been out and haven't actually checked the gap.

I ran our old exhaust system in qualifying today as part of our evaluation programme for next year. We had already used it yesterday and made the decision to continue for the rest of the weekend to help with the learning process.

Interesting stuff indeed, bodes well for next year especially as MS out qualified both Ferraris and a Mclaren

Hey that is good news. I wondered why Nico was struggling he's often ahead of Michael. So it's all focused on next year. Good.

Although the McLaren did break down...
