How long is Button's current contract? Through the end of 2014?

Think so, it was a 3 year deal. I would imagine he will retire at that point.
It is amazing to think that he is in the top 10 of competing in the most grand prix's I remember talking about him, and wondering if he it was a mistake for him to jump into F1 with Williams.

I would absolutely have picked the hooner!! For so many reasons. Since you mentioned school kids I'll give a slightly different example.

Two kids. Child A comes to me crying because child B has hit him. Child B gets the works on how to behave, how we dont hit friends, how we deal with things etc etc . Child A stands by looking like butter wouldnt melt. Child B is clearly very upset by the incident, is in tears and apologising.

I subsequently find out from a teaching assistant that child A deliberately broke a lego model that child B had been working on for the past two days and child B hit out in frustration.

Give me child B any day of the week!!

But yeah. I expect Button and Perez to be pretty close next year. The latter is certainly no slouch... look at what he's achieved in the Sauber. IMO, he's put Kobayashi in the shade this year.

I expect them to be an equal match that will be good for the team as both drivers will be moving in the same direction rather than pulling in opposite direction. Button will be ahead as he will have experience on his side. I suspect Perez still has a lot to learn in terms of F1.

Button isn't a good enough driver to fashon a team around him.
Alonso, Lewis and Seb all are, as is Kimi, but Jenson.....................I don't think so.

He thinks he's in the top drivers club but he isn't. Never has been.

This is what makes all this worse. He's deluded into thinking that he can take McLaren to a championship.

My wife is a massive Button fan!
