Whoever wins the championship in the end will most certainly deserve it. Now the championship has closed right up, we are looking at a very important few races coming up.

I think Seb has the upper hand.

I think Seb will win this championship now.

He'll get lucky if he does though, as challengers like Alonso and Lewis have been taken out and endured reliability issues over the past few races.

And you seem to endure short memory issues! Check the results (Valencia and Monza) and weep.

Oh no!! 2 races.... :crying:

Try Lewis at:

Spain - taken out by his teams stupidity (loss of an easy 15 points)
Europe - taken out by Crashonaldo (loss of minimum 8 points)
Germany - Puncture due to debris (loss of minimum 10 points)
Belgium - taken out by the first lap nutcase (loss of minimum 10 points)
Hungary - taken out by his gearbox (loss of 25 points)

This does not take into account his stupid pitstops in the beginning of the year. Now compare to the terrible luck poor Vettel has had.

And how many times did red Bull stuff up the tyre strategy?

Vettel has had his equal share of misfortune.

Agreed
Lewis Hamilton lost a net 60 points due to mechanical failures and other misfortune.
Sebastian Vettel lost a net 38 points due to mechanical failures and other misfortune.
Plus this was before Spa so plus 35
95 lost
Vettel lost a net of 10 at Monza
so 48
Plus the poor strategy and pit stops in the first six races

Who gives a toss about LH - I'm comparing with the first name mentioned, i.e., Alonso who's actually relevant for the championship.

Seb has been off the pace for months at a time this season. It's just that no one else can actually string any results together, that he finds himself in second place. Lewis would have been first if it wasn't for clowns on and off the track holding him back.

Seb = Lucky so far, but it's not over yet.

Alonso's been stringing results together, and that Ferrari has been off the pace for most of this season.

The point is, he's been allowed to string his results together through a reliable team and reliable car. To finish first (or lead a WDC) you must first finish. Remember?

I remember, my point is the WDC is also team dependent. Vettel wouldn't be getting poles in a HRT would he, and Alonso needs a reliable car as well, the algebra's the same, just the variables are different.
