I think we can therefore all agree that this forum is the perfect balance? :D Do we think that Forumula1.com is in a good place at the moment? As good as it always has been? The older members will know better than me. Vaptin, what do you think? We touched on it briefly in the chatroom yesterday I think...

:yikes: We didn't touch anything! I have no idea what this man is talking about! I do not condone or encourage this behaviour in any way.

Just answer the question vaptin....

I was about to give you a serious answer . . .

A few more members needed, we're not at saturation point, we already have a good mix of members in age and from around the world, interesting that member's occupations seem to have a general trend (engineers/ IT). More female members needed (seriously, it's nice to have a diverse mixed group, and it makes no sense to under-represent 50% of the population), but I don't know how the proportion on here compares to the ratio of female:male f1 fans.

I don't know how to attract new members, the introduction section is the quietest on here, there used to be one or two new members every day.

I know of another site where new members are obliged to open an introduciton thread (which I think has to be approved by a moderator) before they can proceed and post freely everywhere. Quite a good idea and may encourage folk to stay rather than make one random post and then disappear never to be seen again. It would also beat the spammers, which isn't a bad thing.

We need more female users and the diversity of team/driver support could be better.

I don't agree, many people don't want to post an introduction thread, often people join the forum because of something they read while browsing, having to post a intro thread will probably drive them away, I probably wouldn't have joined this forum if I was forced to introduce myself first. Anyway, this is a discussion to have in forum issues, not in the happy birthday thread!

The more people on the forum, the more birthday parties, and we would all really like that, no?

It's weird being wished a happy birthday when it's not my birthday quite yet here! The site doesn't even show it yet for me.
