McLaren need to have a talk with Williams about the start and tell them to keep a leash on the savage starting next to Lewis.

I'm rather worried about the start tomorrow, for precisely this reason. Maldonado gets way too overexcited.

No need to have such a negative attitude, lets hope Maldonado did learned from his previous mistakes and also hope he will deliver a good show. After all, disregarding the "empty part" of the glass, he's quite a good driver judging by the car he drives.

He's clearly very fast. Hopefully tomorrow he'll have a clean race and give Williams some good points.

McLaren is partying like it's 1999... since that was the last time they got four straight poles.

Maybe Big Ron should contemplate his stinginess and loosen the purse strings a little more...for the driver who's got him a WDC after a DECADE of waiting, and currently matching past great records of the team.

It's all in Lewis hands, he's been the strongest all weekend. I don't see him not winning without a majestic screwup by him or the team. Unless of course Massa, Romain or other extra causes a classic Piquet like safety car moment.

Kimi screwed up big time his chances. Alonso I expect will drive a defensive race and aim for last podium place and he can deliver that I'm sure.

On the more interesting party side: warm up band for tonight's quali was the original girl band Bananarama; for the younger F1 fans go and ask yr daddy. And after bands include the Pretenders and some teenage group called brown 5 or was it maroon. And tomorrow from Leith, Scotland the proclaimers. So out to the party zone

Maldonado up there? That means trouble! :hehe:
Great driving by Lewius, but, I think that Red Bull changed something. I think they pulled more to the race performance.

I hope Ferrari have something up their sleeve for the race, car's been really far off the McLaren for a while now.

McLaren have done an excellent job, they started the season with the fastest car, and now appear to have that again.

Can't wait for the race to be honest, I don't really want to discuss qualifying that much.

I beg to differ, Hamilton wasn't the strongest during the weekend ( practice, excluding qualifiers), the fact he took the first place at the starting row doesn't means squat, Singapore's GP is one of the longest ones and quite prone to stupid incidents (like hitting the walls). Most probably Lewis will cause a very big crash during the first lap. That's a quite big possibility knowing that Singapore's race track is so unforgiving

Being on pole is probably the least likely position for an accident, you get clear air to run away in. Unless Maldonaldo jumps the start again

Either Mclaren can still win the race and Vettel can as well. Alonso can get 2nd.

But you never know, cause anything can happen with the tires or the walls. Lewis was definitely much more on the edge than Vettel, and with Maldonado winning Barcelona, you cant say he wont have the pace to challenge. So really, anything can happen.

All eyes will be on the first corner, if I were Hamilton and Maldonado gets alongside, I'd allow plenty of room, better to drop to second than end his race at the first corner. Having Grosjean in eighth is also a massive wildcard, especially if he gets a fast start, he could end up ploughing into the first four. It will be an interesting start tomorrow that's for sure!
