Getting excited about the weekend. F1 and Olympics... how am I ever going to find time for yardwork?

Hadn't thought about it till now but there are 32 sports categories in the summer Olympics. 302 Events! What sports do you guys follow?

My watch list;

Main things for me:
Track & Field
Cycling
Boxing

Then i always make a point of catching some of the weird things you never normally see on TV:
Table Tennis (love watching this! :D )
Badminton
Handball
Water Polo
etc

And then just cause it's insane to watch, i normally end up seeing a little Diving and Gymnastics (especially the Beam thing and the uneven bars).

So what's your take on women's boxing this year? You're going to be watching that?

If a Brit emerges then maybe, but probably not bother with the Women's, nope. Barely any weight classes for them anyway (3 versus 10).

I have a friend who's performing in the opening ceremony :)

What are they doing?

Playing a working class bloke (part of a chorus of actors) who sees the transition from England's Green & Pleasant Land through to the Industrial Revolution. Will be taking part in a true historical event, that lad. :)

Quite a thing to get in on.

But let's face it, whenever Brits get ambishious it turns out looking over the top, pompus and generally crap. We'll be the shame of the world again. :hehe:

Only ever been through it when I was 6 years old on the way to Kent. I can still remember getting the tube during the evening rush with my folks and our suitcases after spending the entire day on the train (which was an cool adventure for me at that age).
