Congratulations to Alonso, he deserved the win today and the way he's been driving he's looking pretty damn deserving of a third WDC unless Lewis can miraculously wrestle it from him.

Initially my first thought was that Hamilton wouldn't be the biggest threat to Alonso, being as he's now 62 points behind. But I'm not sure if either of the Red Bull drivers are going to beat him either as the Red Bull car is only marginally better than the Ferrari. I think Raikkonen will score a win this year, but don't think he's going to challenge. With ten races left then if Hamilton scores 6.2 points a race more than Alonso, he'll win. But I also think that Hamilton will likely have more DNFs than Alonso. So it's looking good.

Buttons bad races haven't been due to mechanicals. At least McLaren seems to have made a step forward and Red Bull misteriously struggles after the FIA look over their overrun settings.

On the BBC Coulthard was saying that McLaren's pit-stops are due to them perfecting a new wheel nut system. Which gains them 0.6 of a second or so. Not a lot, but important when going head to head in a pitstop battle.

I was meaning the result and their espective fortunes during the race.

Button had the good race and Hamilton the bad. It's usually the other way round.

Not Hamilton's fault. That's the difference. Credit to Button though, he was in the fight today.
Bit pissed at Vettel's comments about Hamilton. Something like...what was he doing coming past me? He wasn't fighting with us...No that's right Seb, he wasn't, he was fighting with the guys in front of you and trying to unlap himself to do so. He had a car capable of getting past you and he did so. Come on Seb, you're better than comments like that!! On stupid moves, if that's where you want to go, not giving back that place was stupid (though I can understand why you didnt)

I didn't say it was anyones fault!

To be fair to Vettel, Hamilton unlapped himself and then sat on his nose before nipping on. I can understand why he's annoyed.

Disingenuous of Jenson to say to Vettel, "Oh, your overtake is under investigation, by the way", after complaining on the radio that Vettel had overtaken him off the track. Why didn't Button "have it out" with Vettel instead of being all nicey-nicey with him? This is a perfect example of Button's slimy, smarmy personality. He is a horrid person.

Lewis had bad luck today again, but he had a terrible start and paid for it badly.

Vettel's penalty is fair to the letter of the law, but it's the totally inconsistent way that these penalties are metered out that has us F1 fans frustrated. THIS SEASON Lewis overtook Rosberg at Bahrain off track but didn't get penalised. I think we need a permanent group of stewards, although this is possibly open to corruption.

Lewis didn't make the actual overtake off the track though I think.

Are you saying Jenson would've been nicer if he err, had it out with Vettel? Was it just a bit of Murray Walker nostalgia?

You sound frustrated... You'll always have 2011.

Not with absolute mastery, to the point where I can be certain and never require clarification on what another has said, no. Although even if I did, surely that'll only hold if I wanted to make the assumption that as well as me understanding English you understand it perfectly too.
