Andrew, seems like you have a tendency to center things, most of your subjects would have more visually impact if you played with the vertical or horizontal center lines as you frame things.

I believe you are talking about the rule of thirds, which can dramatically change the composition of a photo:

But even without that, I think you've got some good photos there Andrew.

Really like the one with the ship, the bright blue against the dark sky and the dark sea reflecting the bright blue, agree it works brilliantly.
