My days work extended to me sleeping until quarter to 12 and going for a walk with the camera in the sunshine, seeing a heap of outside broadcast vans on the road overlooking the south side of the harbour and coming home to find an e-mail from the company I've been looking to move to asking when I can attend a medical for them. So that's the forklift hurdle successfully jumped it seems.

That's excellent news. Bet you can't wait to tell your current boss to stick it......

It's not in the bag yet but yeah I can't wait. I'll have to start thinking of possible exit strategies. :hehe: It'll be a huge weight lifted of my shoulders if I can get away.

My supervisor deserved to get a size 9 boot up the backside after he had a right go at me for something that wasn't my fault but that wouldn't get me anywhere and I'd have to join a long que. I've already had a couple of frank exchanges with him, one of which ended up with me telling him where to go. After that he was ok with me for about a week. For all I know this new job could be just as bad or worse but the pay and the hours are a lot better

I drove 20 miles to sell some stuff at the reclaimation yard to find out that the boss had gone out and none of his lackies where trusted enough to deal with me.

No, just look up to my hero Bernie and use his business techniques. I have no idea how much the stuff I am selling is worth so it is all fun

I actually phoned them up first and said I needed x, y, and z urgently and am willing to pay good money for it.
