Really? If you go via this link, I can only find 'catch-up' TV. I agree BBC let you watch live streaming through website pages - but didnt know you could do it through the iplayer?

Using that link, if you look on the left where the channel links are; above the schedule, there's a link to watch live, you simply select a different channel to watch another live channel.

Wow. So you can. Well well.

I have been watching the 2011 season review and it's interesting to watch because they have additional radio messages and pit lane insights that wasn't shown on the BBC coverage!

I actually watched the first half of the season review yesterday, spent about seven hours watching, then my wife arrived home from work and spoiled the party!

I propose we have a section of the forum that screens the Sky coverage. Go on! You've got less than a week! :whip:

Understand that my only frame of reference is the US, and although I do see your point, to me, 200 channels of sh!t is still worthless, I spend roughly $200 dollars a month for cable through Comcast and I watch perhaps 5 stations out of 500+ channels. That's just how it is unfortunately and I'm not willing to forego an alternative such as watching TV via my computer simply to reduce the price I pay by 30% or something along those lines. There are perceived values such at on demand, and VDR capabilities and other factors and everything is lumped into the consideration of my $200 dollar a month expense.

I'm with WB here. There's not much Free-to-air TV in Canada and what there is is not worth watching so I end up paying around $1500 (£900) a year for what is probably not up to the standard you get in the UK. (We get some UK programs here which is what I'm comparing with.) But I suppose it's what you're used to. I pay a much higher price than the BBC licence fee plus extra for Sky in the UK but I'm happy with that because the alternatives do not appeal.

I watched this. It was actually the SKY preview prgramme shown on freeview. I wasnt impressed(though to be fair I watched it after midnigh and was tierd). It told me nothing I didnt already know. Brundle looked stiff and awkward and there was non of the comaraderie we've got used to on BBC.

:rofl: That's seriously bored! I cant believe I got bored by an F1 programme, but I did. Nik Hamiltons documentary was way better.

Yeah it wasn't amazing but we were missing Jake, Eddie and David.

It's early days yet though. The BBC had F1 (properly) from '09 to '11; maybe after 3 years of Sky Sports F1, it'll have the banter that we currently enjoy on the BBC. Jake used to be a complete tool on F1 knowledge when the BBC first started and he turned into an aficionado. Maybe Georgie Thompson and that rugby guy with the blonde hair will do the same. They were air heads.

First job? Ditch the suits and football talk, "Transfer window", "Off-season"? Gimme a break. This isn't the Barclays Premier League, this is Formula 1. Wear shirts but you guys don't need the jackets. I understand it was the premier of the channel so I suppose it fits but we'll have no more of that thank you very much! :smash:

More banter, less scripts!

Go Kravitz and Brundle!
