It's kinda interesting, the level of social interaction and feeling that would be considered reasonable on an internet forum, the main issue of course, being that anyone could disappear at any moment and it's easier to lie successfully.

Intuitively, communicating with others by text would lead to more rational, less emotionally charged and prejudiced arguments; but the opposite seems to be true as a general rule. In real life a person is (more tightly) constrained by social obligation, but that's less involved when facing an avatar, it seems society does succeed in constraining people for the "greater good" rather than a limitation on good conduct (through the prejudices or just social conventions of society itself).

See, this is what happens when there isn't any f1 on telly to watch.
