I dont think the spectacle would be taken away from F1 if we had fast cars with cool women driving them and pit dudes-suit me. And i dont care what their sexual orientation is if they provide fast exciting driving.
The way F1 would react all depends on how stereotype minded it would be.
First of all, let me set things straight (), I don't care what kind of sexual orientation someone has, it's obvious nobody asked to be straight,gay,...
but you have to agree that F1 on its own has a certain image, and some part of that image contains "fast cars, cool men (pilots), and pit babes". That's just how it is. Overall speaking, you could say F1 on that aspect is very much a straight appealing sport.
I don't believe a "Brüno"-ish type of character would actually get there or fit in...
But to be honest, a lot of gay people just blend in. They look and live like an average straight people, and why couldn't they actually be a fast racing-driver?
If someone like that would enter F1, and give us great races, great results, I don't see a problem with that at all. After all, that's what we want isn't it? Great races with great action from great pilots, gay and straight ones.

You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.
