Coulthard seemed to think there was an emotional (if not a practical) favourtism towards Mika and Kimi when he was a McLaren driver. But maybe he would say that as an excuse for not being able to match their pace and acheivements?
Maybe this year Lewis has felt there has been more emotional favourtism towards the other side of the garage this year. Or maybe he has just been particularly needy of emotional support?
Perhaps Heikki never felt the emotional support of the team was never really with him during his time at McLaren? Or perhaps he just wasnt quick enough to warrant it?
No it didnt. The only time there was any investigation into team orders at Mclaren it was concerning favouring Alonso at Monaco. They were exonerated on the grounds that the strategy they used was neccessary at that track.
I dont want Lewis favoured(for the hundredth time!!!)
I'm far from convinced. Both drivers are on equal terms and you're not happy.
Maybe we should check with Heikki Kovalainen about team orders and which driver got the updates and new parts first.
So you've changed your stance, from McLaren dont favour drivers, to they do favour drivers, to the point of giving one poorer equipmentThats quiet a turnaround. So you can accept Lewis having favoured parts and strategy( which he didnt). Yet you can't accept a team manager unable to hide his preference for one driver. Very strange.
McLaren dont give preferential equipment to one driver over the other. I'll tell you what Mclaren do. They try their utmost to provide upgrades for both drivers, if they cant the upgrade goes to the driver leading the championship at the time. Lewis knows that. Jenson knows that(they both confirmed it and are happy with it) and no doubt Heikki new that.
My issuue isnt that Jenson is getting better parts. He isnt. My issue is Whitmarsh.
