In autosport, they have a virtual grid,Ive mentioned it before, its been going all through the season. It shows the cars on a grid, their position worked out by taking their best race laps and comparing them to hypothetically perfect laps. Of course Vettel is in front, and second....lewis. despite his bad season and all the crap he's had, there he is, quite a bit ahead of Button , and everyone else in fact. :D

It might be worth him seeing that. It might make him smile again! :P

Despite all this, yeah Lewis has outqualified his PR savvy teammate 11-5 so far. So its no surprise he's ahead of Button in Qual. But the most upsetting fact is that out of 2 car finishes, they are both equal...as in, if you count out the races where either driver DNFs and just take 'the better finishing McLaren', Lewis is actually EQUAL right now with Jenson.

I would never have dreamed for something like this to happen. Bad luck or not, this has been a lousy year for Lewis and I rate this year his worst in F1 (even he does). I just hope he picks it up to 2010 level performance or better starting the 2012 season and not repeat this blasphemy again.

Ooooops! They split - again(?)
Might explain his sourpuss face lately...

Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger have split up.

The 26-year-old F1 racing driver - who is seven years younger than his erstwhile girlfriend -decided to call time on their relationship because their conflicting work schedules meant they were seeing less and less of each other.

The sportsman and Miss Scherzinger - who rose to fame as part of the Pussycat Dolls pop group - had been dating for four years.

A friend said: ‘They are still very good friends and it was an amicable split, but they just decided it was impossible to keep the relationship going with such conflicting work schedules.’

The Hawaiian-born singer is part of the judging panel on X Factor USA, alongside Simon Cowell.

As a result, she is based in Los Angeles, California.

Hamilton, meanwhile, travels all over the world as one of the leading drivers in F1.

Yesterday, he was at an event for his driving team Mclaren.

A source told how he was in ‘good spirits’ at the event.

The couple started dating in 2007 after meeting at the European Music Awards in Munich.

Miss Scherzinger, 33, was by his side as he was crowned world champion in Brazil in November 2008.

But they spent increasing amounts of time apart due to their busy careers.

Hamilton is based in Switzerland while Miss Scherzinger lives in Los Angeles.

In July there was unconfirmed speculation the couple had become engaged.

The couple split in January 2010 when they had been together for 20 months.

Following the break up, Hamilton told the Daily Mail: ‘I just want to move forward in a positive manner. The focus is on this season and doing the best I possibly can and getting the results on the track. I’m just keeping my mind on that.

‘It never was a distraction but I am not going to take my mind off what I’ve got to do by thinking about it.’

Speaking of their relationship recently, Hamilton said: ‘We go to the gym together quite often and she goes running with me. She does her own programme and I do mine and it’s pretty cool.’

A spokesman for Hamilton declined to comment.

A spokesman for Miss Scherzinger was unavailable for comment.

Yes she's a lot older, biological clock ticking, and Lewis (though he's never been a player like some F1 drivers) isnt ready for that commitment.
I dont think this is the cause of his depression at all. Its been on the cards since July and has happened before. He doesnt want the distraction its causing. Watching him on Ross a while back he was clearly uncomfortable when his relationship was discussed and he wouldnt commit. He's only 26.

He's upset because his driving, which has always been enough to get him through, now isnt enough. He's never been bothered about political games and one upmanship etc. But now it seems thats whats needed. He's not that sort of animal.

Nothing wrong with an older women until she's squeezed a few kids out. (I say squeezed but the last one probably had to brace itself everytime the woman went to the toilet lest they fall out but it would be fun bungee jumping for 9 months. :hehe: )

As long as there is still tread on the tires.............. :hehe:

You wouldnt be jesting if men had the babies. In fact that would probably be the end of civilisation as we know it. Or every family would be one child only families.

HA HA HA. Just like man flu eh!
No not Whitmarsh's fault and nothing to do with Lewis' sad face. Now...talking of Leiws' sad face and Whitmarsh.........Oops wrong thread.

Nothing wrong with one child families. Some of the nicest well adjusted people I know come from one child families. It would certainly sort the overcrowding of the country if the UK would finally restrict the breeders from breeding so much. Your sounding like a man hating dry stone wall.

Pppfftt if it was up to men we would have a couple of pain killers and be backto work within the hour, lot of fuss about nothing :hehe:

Exactly! I've been working since I was 17 and I've only ever been off ill twice (been ill on other occasions but I soldier through) - both times with proper flu (not man flu, but real fire and brimstone flu) and on both occasions I had to be forced to stay in my bed.

Yeah yeah yeah!
I didnt say there was anything wrong with one child families. I said we'd have them by default if men had to give birth. And I dont hate men...quite the contrary

Ive realised this is a clever ploy to derail the hamilton support thread.Any more talk of pain thresholds, childbirth and man flu should continue in 'Anything else'. Meanwhile...back to Lewis :)

What? They tied you to your bed? Or did you ask them to do so and you got a kick out of it, eh?
