Since when is Johnny Depp eclectic?

Did I say that?
I said eclectic taste addressed at F1 fans - look up the definition of eclectic.

Right, poorly written on my part. What I meant was just because a person likes F1 and Johnny Depp doesn't make their taste eclectic.

That would be correct - alas, there's no way to put a smiley in the title of the thread, which it definitely would deserve

I heard his next movie is a remake of The Lone Ranger, WOOP!!

(Now have soundtrack stuck in head).

High Ho Silver away! :D

Channel 4 used to show the Lone Ranger when I was a kid. It was proper kid's TV, not like the crap they have for kids now (and parent wonder why their kids are hyper - it's the load annoying crap they watch)!

The William Tell Overture is a good bit of music.

Depp is okay....but I won't book a time on the TV for him. On the other hand....if anyone hears about this guy getting interviewed, ring me first. :hehe:

I love Bale, both the actor and the football player.

Hes one of those underrated ones that needs a few more top films, like Di Caprio for Titanic, The Departed, Inception. He doesnt seem to be a top name though, like in massive demand or the first name for people, he was great in American Psycho and of course the Batman films, then his child acting in Empire of the Sun. Hes a terrific actor.

I always thought of Johnny Depp as some acceptable lokking bloke that sexually frustrated older women and teenagers got excited about but I've a lot of his films and he is actually a very good actor. Same goes for Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Mat Damon - I would say they are up there with Morgan Freeman, Gene hackman and Jack Nicholson. The jury for me is still out on Leanardo Di Caprio. He was good in The Departed but Titanic is going to take a lot of forgetting.

Hamilonso, we might become good friends mate.

Let me reel of movies I can watch over and over again.....American Psycho, Batman Begins, The Fighter, The Prestige, The Machinist, Equilibrium.....but ironically I dont like Terminator Salvation, movie wasn't good enough for an actor like him. I think he realized it midway through and blew a fit, aka that famous outburst on set.

Bale is my inspiration though. He really is mind over body, the physique of Machinist to Batman Begins in less than a year. Almost magic.

I have a huge amount of respect for DiCaprio. Certainly way more than Damon and Clooney, and maybe even Pitt.

Agreed. Shutter Island, Blood Diamond, Inception....proof enough.
