What lewis' contract? jens has signed.Well Whitmarsh is playing a well stupid game. You know what fot the first time ever im starting to think Lewis would be better not at McLaren.

Yeah I wish Ron Dennis was back in charge. What Whitmarsh is doing is supporting the lesser driver and giving him all the motivation to get to that next level, while ignoring the faster driver's prowess! What a waste of resources.

In your opinion, I think they are more or less equal with different styles of driving... and if Lewis is so great, surely Jenson is the one that needs the motivation to match the Great Hamilton! :P

Of course it's my own opinion! I know majority would disagree with me, but it's what I genuinely think! :P

A driver can't function without the required motivation. Look at DC at McLaren, Ron Dennis was openly supporting Hakkinen and that made DC simply trudge along in Mika's shadow for the majority of his career. Massa? Since the Hockenheim incident, he's just been a (whiny) toy dog for Ferrari and Alonso.

What I'm getting at is Lewis is being beaten down by his own team, and its happening time and time again. This might take its toll in the long run, and I won't be surprised to see him take his frustrations out on track once again. And you can lay this at Whitmarsh's door.

Yes. My opinion too.

I personally think that it shouldn't be the team principle that needs to get him in the right mental state and motivated, that's why he pays mega $$$ to Simon Fuller to manage his career; I think that Lewis' performances have dropped since the split with his father, it's unfair to blame Martin Whitmarsh for Lewis' actions and lack of motivation these season!

I think you can lay a lot of it at Whitmarsh's door. He's doing a bad job and squandering McLarens best asset.

Lewis has not been on the podium for the past 5 races. :yikes::yikes::yikes:

A driver like...Button...is going to end up ahead of him in the WDC. :yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes::yikes:

Calling someone who won multiple races and has made the podium consistently this season lucky just shows the bias that you have against the guy....Jenson is better than lewis in this season so far...Heck, lewis even admitted it....

Sorry mate, I just have trouble believing the guy who was the joke in Benetton all those years back, and getting round house kicked by Fisichella, and getting roundhouse kicked by Ralf Schumacher in Williams...is now ahead of someone like Hamilton in the standings.

This is tailor made season for Button, tyres which last 9 laps and then cause punctures/fall off the cliff. Welcome to the new F1.

Every driver has their strengths. Button used his strengths well this season. He managed his tires, he kept his head cool, and he avoided making too many mistakes. He's a methodical driver and I usually prefer drivers like him compared to aggresive drivers like lewis, kobayashi, and schumi.

Lewis is a great driver(one of the best I've seen) but he needs to learn how to time his aggresiveness properly...He needs to lessen the risks he's taking while still being an aggresive driver...

Lewis is a better driver than Jenson
Jenson is a smarter driver than lewis

Lewis said the car is much better now than earlier in the season but was 'gobsmacked' as to why he had no pace.

FFS!!!! Jenson is an amazing talent, and is at the top of his game at the moment! Hence the results! He's not been "lucky" of "favoured" in the slightest. Cannot stand these conspiracy theories!

Lewis is NOT at the top of his game and needs to pull himself together. I just feel he's fed up with this season now. He'll be back with full force in 2012, I'm sure. 8-)
