Hi guys, sorry I was doing a Jenson Button there. Just "bumbling" around Monaco waiting for a victory to be handed to me, and sure enough this question was there waiting for me.

What a stupid thing to say, the only guy with the race handed to him was Vettel!

Yeah, I think it's SV in Monza 2008. He broke the records for the youngest everything incl. the youngest driver with a bib screaming the loudest after winning :P

This was the first time that a Ferrari-powered engine not entered by Scuderia Ferrari, won an official Grand Prix.

Name the Race, Entrant and Driver. Also the interesting records that were set.

Well, technically, the answer is the 61 Dutch GP, Ferrari had changed their official entry name from "Scuderia Ferrari" to "Scuderia Ferrari SpA SEFAC" the driver was Wolfgang Von Trips. It was his first victory. He would die later that year in an infamous crash at Monza. He was in contention to win the WDC, but during the race he tangled with Jim Clark which led to a terrible crash which not only took his life but 14 spectators lives as well, a record number of deaths from a single accident at that time for an offical GP. His Ferrari team mate, Phil Hill, would go to take the title. As a sign of respect, Ferrari did not compete in the next race, which was also the last of that season.

Some other "firsts" for Ferrari powered cars.
The first Ferrari entrant was on Oct 5th 1919, it was at the Parma-Poggio di Bercetto race. Enzo Ferrari drove the #29 CMN car to 11th place.
The first Ferrari GP win was again powered by Enzo the driver. It was August 28th 1921 at the Grand Prix San Bernardo, driving an Alfa to first in its class (5th overall).
By 1929 Enzo established his Scuderia Ferrari, where he took over the racing division of Alfa and with the new P2 car set entered 22 races winning 8. He had 50 amateur drivers plus a few professionals he signed, including the great Tazio Nuvolari.

P.S. I know that wasn't the answer you were looking for Big Az, but I thought I'd just throw it in there in case anyone else found it interesting :)

The obvious trap is Vettel in the Torro Rosso at Moza in 2008 but it can't that surely?

Yep - that is the trap.:thumbup:

Spankyham is closer. It's a great technicality - but in my point of view, that still technically says Scuderia Ferrari. :director:

So I'll give you guys a couple of hints (I'm soooooo stoked this one survived overnight! ):

Hint 1: Note that I have chosen the wording carefully with my question.
Hint 2: This was the driver's first official race on debut - and that is one of the interesting records.

Huge hint - but I'm not sure it's given me the right answer.

1961 French Grand Prix
FISA (Federazione Italiana Scuderie Automobilistiche)
Giancarlo Baghetti

Records: WIn on official F1 debut (it was also his only official race win) and Baghetti won his first three F1 races (the previous two races were not part of the World Championship).

Correct. It was an awefully ginormous hint.

It was also interesting that he was the first Italian to win a race since 1954.

I thought it was an intriguing statistic to come across, I was just scrolling through Ferrari's Grand Prix results and came across that one.

Your turn smokin - I likely won't know anymore answers unless I can do another Jenson Button.:whip:

Yep you'll be more like vettel and have your answer handed to you on a plate when the question is red flagged.

Seriously we are seeing the birth of the smug Vettel fan.

Sorry; internet's been down. Satellite fell out of the sky or something.

Easy one:

In which race were no points awarded for second place?

Rosberg came in 2nd, but, was disqualified for getting a push start in the pits. However the rest of the field was left in their positions so no driver was awarded 2nd place and no 2nd place points were awarded.
