Why is a "green card" called a green card? was it ever green? or is it symbolic of something? the latest "green cards" are white with all sorts of biometric data stored on it, a photo of me, my name, date of birth, alien number, issue and exp date as well as a whole bunch of random characters that I'm sure means something to a computer when read!
