I think for the first time this season, there are 3 cars almost on par with each other. Vettel's real test begins tomorrow.

I'm so glad that I won't be in internet tomorrow until Monday or Tuesday. If Vettel doesn't win, there is going to be so much :bs: written about him supposedly not being able to overtake etc etc and the gloating from the Vettel bashers is going to be unreal. At least when I'm back in internet land the fuss should have settled, or that's my plan at least.

Sheesh... give him a chance to lose the race first, it's as if you've already given up on him since he wasn't on pole.

I've not given up up on him, I'm just pre-empting the oh so predicable trash talk. Now that I have done this, there is no need for this to decend into Vettel bashing should he not win and the thread will remain on topic and there will be little to no moderation needed. Of course this won't happen but we can but hope.....

If he wins then there will be claims of Red Bull favouritism and hypocrisy. The poor kid can't catch a break from some quarters.

Thankfully he has enough of a lead that just being consistent will win him championship no. 2. There is no need to go out there and thrash the car unnecessarily.

Remove Vettel's name and insert Alonso or Hamilton and the same applies... Vettel isn't the only one, we just roll with it. Perhaps if people didn't attack other drivers then their fans wouldn't feel the need to retaliate, what a wonderful world it would be. :hehe:

Oh please don't dangle the dream in front of me. :hehe:

I agree though and respect costs nothing. It is a minority who seem to be the instigators and things don't seem to have been too bad of late.

There are a few people on "holiday".

If anything this gives Vettel the oppotunity to show all those people that he is capable of overtaking and making his way through the field...he is only 3rd after all so anything can happen....Webber and Hamilton might get bad starts...anything can happen when pitting

Anyway it should be a fun and interesting race....i am of course hoping for a Hamilton win but who knows anything can happen :)

Schumacher just scraped into Q3 again and lines up 10th, over a second behind his team mate. Please, PLEASE, give it up Schumi and let someone more deserving have a chance in a better car.

at least he looked mighty cool going sideways 8-)

Yes. I think anything can happen, specially in this race with several cars looking so equal. Come the race, there's one or the other that's going to unleash some unseen potential and be able to haul it up.

Ace race tomorrow. Webber + Vettel up there... Hamilton able to mix it up... Ferrari having looked strong all til the last min. I might even buy a bag of popcorn

The rain tomorrow will separate the men from the boys - I wouldn't be surprised if SV's car is slightly tuned for such an eventuality and thus, the 2nd row grid place.

Yeah, that or he was just beaten today. It was a good qualifying session with everyone not trying to save the precious softs.

...because of the forecast rain...

It looks like an exciting race tomorrow, with a number of drivers from a number of teams in with a shout of winning. As has been said in this thread a number of times, with the different weather predicted for tomorrow, then it could happen that if it rains, one of the "slower' drivers with a good wet setup could be fast and win. So, it's wide open.

All I hope is that the action is on the track, and we don't get any crashes/DNFs among the top drivers.

Oh, and a certain team wins of course :wavey:

Guarantee all the top guys had a dry setup! The gap to Mark is not because of differing setups, 2 races in a row Webber has out Q Seb, but I expect Sebs race pace to be better than Webbers.

The tyres are comin to Webber..as the're lasting longer. But what a stunner from Lewis!! :cloud9: Thats ma boy!! :cloud9:
#267207
I hope that Webber can take the win; I believe he is the only driver that can realistically challenge and beat Vettel this season. The McLaren simply doesn't seem fast enough to take consistent wins; neither does the Ferrari. Qualifying was a mixed bag for my favourite drivers; Webber's on pole which is great, Button in seventh is poor given that Hamilton is second and Kobayashi dropping out in Q1 was very disappointing; the Sauber seems to be very inconsistent; they have a car that performs well at certain circuits and performs badly at others.

If not Lewis then yes Webber. But I want Lewis to win :P
