I'm making jokes of your silly "I'm such a tough guy and I know everything, I just LOVE Hamilton and hate that german devil Vettel" tone and attitude. But, it looks that you have gone too deep...

Having just now finished watching the race I'll spend some time reading the thread before I go commenting too much on anything that may have already been said. Just wanted to mention some of my quick impressions.

Firstly congratulations to SF and Fernando Alonso, they are back in this season, being able to fight the Red Bulls when it's obvious that at this point, McLaren can't.

Secondly, and while on the topic of McLaren, they looked like a mid field team out there, with the types of mistakes being made, and it's clear that their pitstops are the slowest of the front running teams.

Thirdly, it's obvious that Red Bull doesn't have that much confidence in Vettel, (sorry RB fans but that was an embarrassment) I'm glad at least it's legal so we don't have to spend a year arguing on the legality, but from a sporting standpoint, they've just exposed the real team behind the thin veneer of "sportsmanship". I guess an 80 point lead isn't enough.

Lastly and my favorite... that camera on the wire going from Brooklands over to Woodcote is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

AHH MAN THAT WAS FAAAAANNNTAASSSTTIICCCCC!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So hoping that all i wanted for my first visit to a grand prix was a good race and it was great.

Still gotta watch the actual BBC one to see what little i did miss (i had a screen infront at Becketts)

Its so friggin surreal, you watch these cars weekend in weekend out in the middle east etc, and then its time for the reconaissance laps and D'Ambrosio gives me my first real life view of an F1 car, gave me goosebumps!

Might comment some more after watching the race from TV but initial observations;

Alonso could have his turning point in Silverstone again, to beat the Red Bull and on PACE for a lot of the Grand Prix at Silverstone of all tracks, if his car is good enough he will beat Vettel to any and every pole from here to the end of season.

Dont see what the hype was with Mclaren, Lewis did a lot of work moving through the field, he was setting fastest laps and catching the Red Bulls at points, it just seems his tyres went earlier then most, last three laps Massa got right on his bottom in Becketts, had us all Oohing and Aahing.

You got all that from this???

Hamilton was the driver of the week for me.
Team screws him in qualy,P10.
First 3-4 laps makes up 5-6 spots.
Holds a Faster RB behind him for an ETERNITY.
Holds 4th place in a mano a mano fight to the finish.

TOP MARKS!!!!

And I have gone too deep? :hehe:

Try watching American Top Gear, then you'll love the "crap" you're addicted to that much more.

Oh yeah and Schumi my dear jerry friend, its getting harder and harder to defend your stay in F1 when you lose 50 front wings per race as much as i love you,

LET ALONE losing them hitting a man who was on for some serious points today  , Thats two races Koba's been out the points, both not his fault.

Are we still allowed to call the germans "Jerry"? I doubt it.

It was an honest mistake and he admitted as much. Ruined his own race then got a penalty which was unnecessary considering he penalised himself. Schumacher was on for a good haul off points as well.

Sorry i meant Kraut, or Hun or Bosch......

I did say i was a fan of Schumis, but he has 7 word titles and about 15 seasons of F1 to his name, he doesnt need to make an impact or show it like Kobayashi does to progress, and it was his fault, theres no ifs and buts around it.

No doubt youll still manage to disagree somehow. Kobayashi was on for a good race today. I believe his engine blew, which may have been caused from a hit by a german V2 rocket aka Schumi.

I don't think anyone disagrees with this. He misjudged his braking point with the DRS giving more speed. Simple as that, but the stop/go penalty was not required.

No doubt youll still manage to disagree somehow.

Let's keep the snidey passive aggressiveness out of this. I'm not interested, go fish somewhere else.

He retired due to an oil leak. Why not mention di Resta? He hit Kobyashi as well, but I sincerely doubt either that his oil leak was as a result of a slight tap (in F1 terms) from either incident.

THAT WAS SO BRILLIANT!!!! Whooo. What a weekend. (Fraff I was sat near you-im an old hander but it was still amazing) Lewis did so well in the early laps. Interesting there was no information about lewis' lack of petrol, not a dickie bird, they only said he might have used his tyres up.I only knew that by someone texting with the BBC commentary. Shame about pit blunders for Di Resta and Jens. The after GP party was AMAZING!!! Eddie jordan, Damon Hill, Jackie Stewart lewis,Jenson, paul, Jamie, kobi, Perez, Buemi , A Hamilton. Had to go after that. the atmosphere and the drivers comments were sooooo good.I tried to Vdieo the lewis one but had my camera on picture mode instead of video for half of it  But when asked about the last corner Lewis said "there was no way in hell Felippe Massa was coming past me then!" Resounding applause. Im hping someone else who can video better than me puts the whole interview on youtube, he said loads of other good stuff.

A Jens question " so what happened at your pitstop?"
Jens "A wheel fell off"
Will try to popst pics but my camers is crap, the guys with me have better pics so I'll have to wait for them, mine are a bit too silly.

On the schumacher and Kobi penalties. both were unnecessary and interfered with the race.
