Are you being sarcastic or patronising?
Having read the entire post and gone back to this paragraph i feel your on the same level as i am at least in waking up and smelling the coffee with how the F1 love/hater world works, not least because you claim to be able to ignore all this stuff, that your experienced and your giving me a lesson, and then you have the cheek to tell me stuff like ive bolded when your twenty posts into your tenure in this forum and you have no clue as to what kind of supporter i am, infact you cant of known until recently that i was even a Hamilton fan, maybe youve just presumed so, but im telling you whether you believe it or not, i could be a fan of only Adrain Sutil id still think the hate towards Hamilton is greater then anyone elses and unjustified in its definition. If you werent wrong enough in this respect already you should have a gander at my previous posts, by no means does Hamilton get off lightly just because i am a fan, and i dont just say yeah he was wrong there and try and shift his poor episode under the carpet, ive been quite vicious with him. Its like a mothers tough love you see. No i dont consider you a hater, but you have time to prove otherwise, and it will come out, there are some very, VERY crafty buggers on here that claim neutrality but are absolute snakes. They know who they dont like and they avoid warnings and such by being expert baiters. If you are a hater it will be obvious one day or another.
I think ive worked out your still talking about Gilles. Sorry to hear that of course, but its all relative, i shouldnt have to shy away from moaning about super-harsh attacks on Lewis because some fans had their driver killed back in the day, as much worse a death of a driver is. As for the harsh realities of life bit, Im pretty sure most people on here take this forum as a very trivial part of their life, whilst they may love F1 to death as i do, the moment ive logged off i dont think much about what people say until im back on here in the F1 debating mood. I cant be blamed for "moaning" that i shouldnt have to come on here to talk with other fans without idiots spouting crap, its still a nuisance no matter how unimportant in the grand scheme of things.
Spot on, but awful idealist
So much pain, so much cynicism. It's a shame because you deserve better.

Do you consider me a "hater"? Admittedly, I have not made an emotional investment in Hamilton, and at times I do offer up criticism. But funny thing, maybe we have more in common than anyone would consider. Once upon a time, my favorite driver was Gilles Villeneuve. And just like Lewis, he was blindingly quick, exciting, and someone that could easily be admired. And at that time, when Gilles did screw up, I was outraged that criticism followed. But the truth is, he did screw up occasionally, and sometimes in a magnificent manner. Did you hear that, me, a Gilles fan taking it on the chin and admitting when he did screw up? And why would I do such a treacherous and treasonable act to my hero? Because there are much worse things.

You think it's bad when some clod makes ugly sounds against Lewis? That is nothing, it pales into insignificance of zero when you wake up, and read the headlines on the papers that state that he just got killed. Trust me, if you get a bad feeling when you read comments directed against Lewis, I hope and pray that you never have to go through the kind of crap I had to endure.
It's a reality check, when all of a sudden your world has changed forever, and what seemed important and worthy of righteous indignation really is doody squat compared to the harsh realities of life.

But sadly, there are uninformed people camped out on both sides of the fence. There are people who know absolutely nothing about racing yet throw in their opinion and criticism of Lewis for maybe the only reason is that they can (thanks to the net). And there are others who appear to have minimal comprehension of racing, yet make all kinds of weird and luducrous statements that only undermine and dilute the informed opinions of fans of Lewis.
These are the two extremes, and in my opinion, should be ignored by all. Somewhere in the middle, between the extremes is the truth, the reality, and the ability to exchange opinions without having to go to war each time.
