Yep I think should stay, although a lot of drivers complain about how bumpy and dangerous it is. But that, in itself is a characteristic. One way they could improve it is if they got rid of that silly chicane that other drivers have labelled as turtle shells.
Valencia is contracted until 2014, so there are a few more races left to prove it's worth.
I'd prefer to see Bahrain go in my opinion. The only interesting charactertics of the circuit are sand, more sand, and I think it's turn's 8 and 9 which is the double apex in which you have to brake during the apex of 8 to get into 9...
That would be a great overtaking spot if 9 wasn't so tight...
Bahrain, Valencia and Catalunya should all go. They'e all crap!
Catalunya needs to be there in my opinion. Which other tracks can boast the long, fast, aero corners of Catalunya? I think we need Catalunya and we need it to stay where it is on the calendar - the first race in Europe. It allows the teams to determine how there car is going aerodynamically. Plus all the drivers enjoy driving on it. Sure it's not good for overtaking, and from a fan's point of view, but not everything in Formula One is about overtaking, in my opinion. And I'm a bit squeamish about alternating them, as they are two very different types of circuits.
So, because I think there are too many street circuits, I'm going to do a backflip and say Valencia should go. Abu Dhabi and Bahrain should alternate in my opinion, and then can be renamed Middle-Eastern Grand Prix. Next, they need to re-create the Grand Valley Speedway from Gran Turismo.
I do like the idea of the Grand Prix of Europe being picked from a pool - that way we could see the race in San Marino again, and Jerez, Donnington. But it might also be good to have a Pacific Grand Prix again as well, alternating between circuits like Fuji, Aida, Adelaide etc. Then we can also have a Grand Prix of the Americas. etc. I'd like to see an Argentinian Grand Prix again.
See, Formula One shouldn't be about "one grand prix per country" it should be about racing on the best, most prestigious circuits. Throw in a kicker here and there where we can experience with interesting other locations....
We also definitely need a race in France. And it better not be another crappy street circuit.
