Just watching the re-run what the hell was Lewis thinking about trying that move on Massa pure stupidity.

I also thought Hammy was 'rightfully' at fault but after watching it again....I beg to differ.

How come no one is seeing how Massa turned in early order off the racing purposely trying to cut out Hamilton's overtake? In this situation, if there's contact, the guy behind is at fault. Massa can claim he was essentially pulling the same move on the guy in front...trying to overtake as well. What many are not seeing is also Massa's defense of the position; he turns left once and then another sharp left again to seal off the apex.[Remeber you can't move twice to defend?] Hamilton outbraked him and he knew it....only way to defend at that point is to get contact.....which will alwyays favor the front driver in terms of punishment. To me Massa played dirty and won....that's the game...Hammy should have known better. Karma is a bitch though...

So your saying Massa can't turn in a car length early to defend a position??Its called defending. If you look at the rules you are allowed to move across once to defend your position. Is that not what Massa done?

He has every right to but he knew what he was doing was going to end in a crash so he is as much to blame as Hamilton.

Massa even ended up hitting Webber because he turned in so early and at such a silly angle.

You are assuming that at speed, turning into an apex that the driver is also watching that tiny mirror to see what the guy behind him is doing. It's entirely likely that Massa defended simply because he knew Lewis was back there and had no idea he was being bonzai'd until the collision occurred. That is why, as the driver behind, you wait until the last moment to dive up the inside instead of telegraphing it well before hand...you want to be there before they realize you are coming. The problem here is Hamilton wasn't there, meaning he wasn't alongside before Massa turned in....he started his move too late and knocked Massa aside. That's not a legal move. Hamilton's front wheel hit Massa amidships....and that puts the blame on Hamilton, no questions asked, no argument possible.....he was NOT alongside, so he was NOT in possession of the inside and the blame for the collision falls absolutely and completely on Hamilton.

No other reason than to stir it up billthebender. :nono:

The preference by the forum is that you do not warp a member's name as part of an attack, there are better ways to have a discussion and everyone here deserves the same level of respect whether we agree with them or not. Whether we agree with their tactics or not, or whether we agree with their intent or not.

I was given a board warning for spelling Hamilton's name wrong...

No billindenver, you're not allowed your own facts you were warned for calling Lewis Hamilton a tw@t.

Well that is how you spell his name in Latin.

Didn't know you were such a scholar, now go look up how to spell revisionists in Latin.

But surely an admin sure stay on topic

Hello, McFly it was written in normal speak not with my deep green mod voice :hehe: Does this thread even have a topic any more or did it become an all out slugfest hours ago? I'm off to create the Canada GP thread.

Really, anyone would think that Lewis was the only one to clip another car in today's race lol.

Their were touches going on all over the place,Petrov ended up in hospital because of one but i guess that's not juicy enough for you.

The Massa incident was 50-50.

Let's look on the bright side,Lewis is still ahead of Jenson and the rest of the field, let's hope that Vettal has a couple of off days.

As a Mclaren fan you should be happy he is still second and hope Vettal slips up.

You are happy he keeps second place, right?

What makes you say am I happy Lewis is still 2nd in the title race?.Your trying to say I'm a Jenson fan above McLaren ,please explain yourself ????

Just about every other team are now making themselves look like fecking amatures these days. It's laughable that Red Bull and Seb are looking like getting the Championship wrapped up by the August shutdown, easlily. (WTF were McLaren doing with those pitstops today and yesterday, keeping Hamilton back for one flying lap?? Madness.)

Is there no one who can put up a decent challenge these days ffs. Laughable and TBH, I'm pissed off at seeing Button come in third because a few diddys at the back couldn't keep their cars out of the fecking barrier. I could drive an F1 car better than some of these halfwits.

As for Hamilton and his outburst, well, he's pissed off at McLaren first and foremost IMO. He's starting to think that they are incapable of delivering another championship anytime soon and by the look of it, he might have a point.

Oh well, on to Canada and another Red Bull demolition job. Rubbish!!

Massa says they should penalize Lewis further, or else " he will not learn"

I can't wait for that post race discussion.

Monaco, eventful and good to see some hard racing. Rough weekend for Hamilton and he dished some out too, so what, he got a penalty for it if you think he deserved that but still managed to scrape some points which he drove for.
#258091

vettel got away with it today, he managed his tyres well enough to be worthy of the win, but its a pretty hollow one.

Huh? Why hollow? Had it been JB doing the tire managing, everybody on here would go ooh and ahh about his smooth driving style, but when SV shows the skill of a champion it's luck (as many on here stated) and hollow.

Right....because by being black you cannot use the race card....ever!!! :nono: Some third party has to point it out, that way your victimization can be justfied. hmm...

I've just watched the incident again several times. Massa hit Webber because of Hamilton's stupid move. Once Hamilton put the nose of his car beside Massa's rear wheel, Massa had nowhere else to go, and contact with with Hamilton and Webber was inevitable.
