Congrats to Adrian Newey, and the whole team at Red Bull, another great race from the RB7!

For me. the drives of the day go to Nando and Kobi. Excellent stuff.

In terms of the championship, I don't see it as done and dusted. Turkey is as tailor-made as Red Bull is going to get it. For Nando to be as close as he was I think bodes well for the rest of the season. Lewis, but for being held up at the start and having to chew up his tyres trying to get past some slower cars in his first stint, along with a problem pit stop, he would have been in the mix IMO.

Barca will be a much closer race, if the Merc can keep their momentum and Ferrari's upgrades provide another boost, we might see the best race of the year yet, and that's saying a lot because we've had some dooseys!

Turkey 2010, conveniently Jenson is told to attack Button, Lewis told hes safe.

Australia 2010, Lewis is inexplicably called in for an extra set of tyres he doesnt need.

China 2010, Lewis is inexplicably called in for an extra set of tyres that he didnt need.

Whitmarsh is always downtrodden when Lewis wins.

Jenson always on different strategies.


You may ask why theyd want to sacrifice possibly their best driver. Well they did it in 2007 to Alonso.


Either way i dont truly believe it, i just think hes been a poor principal so far. They said some crap about not getting upgrades in time for today, so will do it for spain. Not that theyll work. Look at 2010, nothing they brought made an improvement all year.

Obviously, the team has to try something different with that guy so he can try and keep up! The few instances you mentioned, it worked out beautifully for him because of changing weather conditions. In dry weather, its a lot tougher to go unconventional.

The best thing is to get rid of Journeyman end of this year and get someone who can push Lewis.

The whole discussion about Jenson and Lewis is nothing but speculation; they were on different strategies and the result suggest that a four stop strategy was the fastest given tyre degradation; as Martin Brundle suggested; the Pirelli tyres don't reward smooth driving; mileage is the only reason the tyres degrade. Jenson was the fastest of the three stopping drivers which would suggest he was just slow as some are suggesting in this thread!

Vettel is frankly looking world champion elect; I can't see anyone beating him unless one of the other frontrunning teams manage to make a huge jump in performance, Vettel is clearly getting much more out of the Red Bull package than Mark Webber. Good finish for Ferrari with Alonso; could this be the start of Ferrari challenging for podiums on a regular basis, maybe even a win should Red Bull slip up! Kobayashi impressed me again; after starting stone last; he finished in the points again; shame that we didn't see some of the overtakes he made.

The KERS/DRS combination seems to improve overtaking but at the same time; it seems to have made overtaking too easy; many times we saw passes half time through the DRS zone; maybe we need a little more wing angle when the DRS is open to make it less easy to pass!

another great race by sebb, good podiums for webber and alonso, good points for the championship for lewis and jb, and some great drives across the field!

This is a new one, actively saying Jenson ruined Lewis's chances, how do you work this out?

RB's quali pace is down to their DRS i'd say...

that's an interesting thought, especially since DRS is unlimited in Q. The only two points i can think of to contend with it is that firstly, it is mentioned constantly on BBC that Merc has the best DRS, so you'd think they'd be much better in Q if a good DRS made that much of a difference. Secondly, even with the same car and DRS, webber is still quite off the pace of vettel.

Concerning the second point, it is well-known that Webber is not a fan of all these extra bits like KERS and DRS. Maybe Vettel is better able to take advantage of these than Webber, and that's why his pace is so much better?

With this in mind, I now really want to see a Q session in rain so there's no DRS involved.

Because he was focused on keeping Lewis behind instead of challenging the front runners,and because he's too DAMN SLOW! Even Massa caught up and was toying with him

Dunno about that, Lewis shouldn't have screwed up at the start though I do think it's possible that Mclaren might have to make some decision sooner rather than later if they want to have a chance of anything this season, something Ferrari won't have any qualms in doing.

WTF is Button doing? What are his priorities? Do you or anyone really believe Button has a chance at WDC? But you know what.............MAC can win "Fair Team of the Year" award while RBR racks up their WDC/WCCs.

MAC needs to realize soon that Lewis is a driver of Sennas and Schueis caliber and put their eggs in one basket.

Whatever the reason, it was Lewis who messed up on the first lap, not Jensons or Mclarens fault so a bit unfair to say JB ruined both their races.
