It seems our Sebastian is a very clever little Vegemite. All this talk of "dreaming of Ferrari" and seeing himself in a Ferrari, and even Bernie saying the same sorts of things has all had a very specific purpose. Drive up his re-signing worth.

Although the deals not finalised, it looks pretty close so, I'm kind of pleased because he should stay at RB if they can agree on terms - I mean they have given him his WDC.

It might even help getting my dream of seeing Daniel Ricciardo driving for Ferrari one day

Question is how long will Newey stay? I'll believe it (SB signing till '14) when it happens instead of speculating.

The Spanish guys got to retire sometime?

Seriously, I just keep believing Felipe will be back this year - big time. His race sim was better/faster than Nando's, his average lap time was quicker over the day (and there was more rubber down for Nando as well).

It might be wishful thinking on my part, but I would just love Felipe to have a great year.

It will be good to see Felipe back on form, and Ferrari can have a good team mate battle like the Kimi and Felipe years.

Felipe has been pretty fast all winter. He will have a much stronger season this season. The tyres are suiting him better.

He is a title contender this year, no doubt about it.

Ferrari don't need Pettel.

What reason would he leave?

None.

And, no disrespect meant to Adrian, but he is the past (with a little more present to go), but I think teams need to look to the future. I mean, there are plenty of greats, but, they all eventually make way. Just IMO, but the Newey's Brawns etc, as great as I recognise they were/are, are not the future. I wondering who the next AN in design will be.

So much of it is just business, so yes 9 out of 10 F1 drivers aspire to work at Ferrari, and Vettel may be no different, but in the end it's about getting the biggest paycheck you can get someone to pay you.

As far as Felipe being competitive, I'm with you... but as a Tifoso be careful what you ask for you know what that can do to the driver dynamics there.

If memory serves me he only has a 2-3yr contract and wasn't there mention previously about him saying this wil be his last 'tour of duty' so he can enjoy his yacht or something too that effect?

Anyway back OT I'll wait until it is official before I believe Vettal will be with RB till 2014.

Vette's worth is directly proportional to how fast he is this yr.

I dont know why Vettel started the media business play with his team... i personally dont like it, but i can see why he does it.......... thing is, after all is said and done what matters is how good he is. The teams are not stupid. If he is good enough they will sign him up, if they feel there is someone faster they let him babble all he wants. With Kubica out of the immediate picture Vettel is the top bachelor, or actually.... the most beautiful daughter from a mother........
