I mean, if it was an Aussie saying "he made a good fist of it" and it was reported in the Philippines it would probably come out as "nagsenyas sha ng kamao" and I'm sure lots of Filipinos would scratch their heads and wonder why that was said.
Even the best translations can confuse or be misunderstood.
I'm fairly familiar with the German language (after all it was my first mother tongue growing up), but I've never heard anything like that or even remotely related. But then again, Austrians are weird(Austrians are the Polish among the German-speaking crowd
