:hehe: lol at this arguement, but im batting for lewis

I can remain neutral for this one, however i do agree with FRAFPDD about the fact that no one is ever going to admit that the driver they support is inferior his opponents.

We could throw in Vettel and then you can share in the fun! :hehe::twisted:

hey it's F1 where the unimaginable happens.

How is Vettel in a Ferrari unimaginable??

You misunderstood my meaning.

Ah... you meant Massa out of Ferrari was the unimaginable :hehe:
Got it now ;)

Wrong again your reading too much into it. I meant that going into my 32nd F1 season I know that anything can happen and usually it is the most unexpected turn of events, never say never in F1 thats all I mean.

This only got going cause RC made quite a clear joke about Hamilton being faster said all in jest, and you made a sarcy response.

Gotta Wikipedia "sarcy".... :)

Anyway.... what Schumacher did yrs ago means little today, in the same way what happened a few yrs ago under special circumstances makes little relevance in what's to happen this yr............ i say, lets wait til the end of this season, whoever comes out with the most points, is the best... this season. hehe

Exactly my thoughts, whoever does win most points per season is better, which is why i think Hamilton was better then Alonso in 2007, and why Alonso was better then Hamilton in 2010, especially the latter half.

More or less... but everyone has their favourites, for many different reasons; not only being the best......
Oh... and BTW they were equal on points.

Actually...... i have a feeling Robert's crash was VERY meaningful in the team/driver raffle, and opened up even further the possibilities of unexpectedness (at least in the top tier).

The best is reliant a bit with the quality of the guns they're slinging. Put Alonso or Hamilton in a Lotus or Virgin, and they're still not going to be cracking Q3.

Just a small point, having the most points might make you better, but it doesn't always get the WDC... just ask that little French professor.

I would have to say, if vettel thinks he has a chance in hell at getting equal treatment with alonzo still around he has lost his mind.

Besides that, I don't think he is going to just turn his back on this team. Sure everyone loves a legacy and glamor, but this kid wants to win. If alonzo leaves ferrari then I can see him going there, but otherwise, he would be a second driver. Ferrari has never been that great at the 1 + 1 driver mentality more like 1st and 45th driver mentality.

Vettels contract expires after next season and if you think Ferrari is the only culprit your sadly mistaken  .

Sadly mistaken? Nope. I didn't see nearly the same mentality at mclaren, redbull, renault. Fernando has also the history of his cry baby BS, and ferrari has been clearly open about many of their blatant fixing. So no, I'm not sadly mistaken, at least from 2010 and forward when I have been watching.

You've been watching since 2010? And came to the conclusion that Ferrari have that mentality?

You should've started watching it from late 90's....like me, you'd think of Ferrari as = The dark ugly side. :hehe:

They were equal on points? oh, so how do they measure who gets the higher standing position? countback? Well that would mean Hamilton finished ahead..... :P

yeah but THAT is formula one. You need to get yourselves in the postition to be in a ferrari over a lotus, and that all comes with being a better driver then a lotus seat. and even if you dont, its not your year to be considered the best by the standings, if you are good enough your time will come to top it. I hope you get what i mean, the table is there for a reason, to judge whos best, you may have a red bull underneath you but youve still got to finish the race with it infront of everyone. Doesnt drive itself. All im saying is the car perfomance is weaved into what is F1, and although you can always use it in defence or attack of a drivers performance, it doesnt matter at the end of the year. Who finished top matters. Vettel was the best of 2010. its not an idealist attitude, its just how measuring the best driver is measured.
