Oh, I saw what it said.

That was good wasn't it!!!

Anywho I think JB will outscore LH in 2011, discuss .

[Hammer278]

Lets have a bet right now then....the loser will have to worship the winner in his fingerprint through the offseason through 2012. Up for it?

Example of worship:
I admit Hammer278 is not only more intelligent than I, but also a true F1 fan which I am not.

Not implying anything mind you, but it will be a funny bet.

[What's Burning?]

Is there a spread to that bet or simply straight up or down?

[Hammer278]

I'm willing to make this bet with anyone in the forum.

If Lewis outscores Jenson, I win! And anyone who dared against me are able to copy + paste my sentence in Italic.

FYI if the points are equal, but Lewis had more wins/2nds/whatever, its still considered outscored.

Any Jenson supporter with any dignity should take up that offer.

I think Button will do better next year because his car will be better suited to his conservative driving style.

As far as outscoring, it will not be a huge gap in points.

[FRAFPDD]

there will be a 20 point gap at least at tje end of 2011, and it wont favour jenson.

On what basis? We haven't even seen the car yet.

Wouldnt the car only determine how well it does in comparison to other cars and not on whether Jenson has the skill to outscore Lewis?

Not quite, driving style.

Only if you ignore driving style and other similar factors.

But then that is assuming that they havnt factored in the driving styles of the two drivers. That would kinda show partiality to a certain driver.

[vaptin]

Assuming the car works out exactly as intended, and that they don't have to intentionally comprise their design. Both are pretty big assumptions, also entirely based on the assumption they don't want to bias the car towards one driver.

Mm. Whilst I personally believe they've designed the car to be as good for each driver as possible, until it rolls out we don't really know how successful they were. Or if it will stay that way - the 2008 Honda started out being about the same for JB and RB, with a slight tilt towards suiting Jenson, but by the time they stopped development it favoured Rubens by some margin because they'd prioritised his needs during he development period, since he had more problems with it.

[The Ram]

Nowadays It's not really who the car suits... it's who suits the car.

The cockpits maybe tailor made but the car is not, especially with new regulations where the influence of the number one driver on the previous year's car would not carry forward, example being the agile MP4-24 to the bus-like Mp4-25. If the car is well balanced though, it will be good for both Lewis and Jenson. Ironically, Lewis and jenson have a similar ideal setup; the brakes and how they drive that setup making the difference.

All indications are pointing to the Hamilton suiting the car more than Jenson this year. The Pirelli fronts are stronger (or rears weaker), fixed weight distribution, KERS is back, car weight 20kg more (Hamilton is very good at heavy fuel and cold tyres), and there are more buttons on the steering wheel! More things to tinker with is just the thing to spoil the routine of a seasoned driver such as Button! This should be no problem for Hamilton who plays video games on a regular basis and is not "seasoned" into a ten year routine like Button. Imagine Button having to "unlearn" so much to get to grips with two extra buttons on the wheel. It's not going to be easy at all.
