No faith at all! I'm willing to take a friendly bet that Narain will beat his teammate in either qualifying head to heads, or race head to head...in 2011.

I'm sure there'll be lot of takers. Instead of moaning, let's make it fun...

Karun Chandhok has explained how he turned down an offer from Hispania Racing for the 2011 season, with fellow Indian countryman Narain Karthikeyan having been confirmed by the Spanish outfit earlier today.

Chandhok drove with the Murcia-based squad for its first ten Grands Prix last season, Bahrain in March up to Great Britain in July, although the Mumbai man has explained that rejoining the team would not be a logical decision for 2011.

“Narain's return is good as Indian F1 fans will see at least one of our own drivers featuring in the inaugural Delhi race,” Chandhok told the Indo-Asian News Service (IANS).

“I had the offer from them but I turned it down because it would not have served my purpose in the long run. Racing for the team in the first year made sense, but now I am looking at a team that could fetch me points.”

When asked about his own Formula 1 future, Chandhok replied: “I have zeroed in on two teams but I wouldn't like to reveal the names until I finalise the deal, which might come through in a couple of weeks.”

He's given it away. He said it's down to two team. Only two teams don't have confirmed lineups, so it's either Force India or Toro Rosso.

assuming it is not a reserve driver somewhere!!!

Out of the 2 I think I would go for FI

He said he wanted a team that could get him Points. No Reserve Driver is guaranteed points.

I don't think Karun Chandhock will be FI bound as about nine months ago I read an interview with Vijay Mallya where he stated that he didn't rate Karun and wouldn't hire an Indian driver just because of his nationality. Good on Karun for telling HRT where to stick it; rightfully so after the way he was treated by HRT last season!

True, but then what self-respecting F1 Driver would enter into the Faustian Bargain of driving for Toro Rosso if they had a choice?
